Mediterraneo 116’ m/y Mr Loui makes its world debut at the Miami yacht show 2018

Benetti is attending the US show once again this year, from February 15 to 19, where it will be exhibiting M/Y Mr Loui, the latest Mediterraneo 116’ unit, with exteriors by Giorgio M. Cassetta and interiors designed by Ezequiel Farca and the Benetti Interior Style Department.

Mr Loui is the second Mediterraneo 116’ unit in its world debut at the Miami Yacht Show. The exteriors of this 35.5 meter fiberglass and carbon fiber yacht in the Class Product Lines feature big glazed surfaces and sleek, sinuous lines, while the interiors stand out for their brightness and superior level of comfort. One of the strong points of the design is its focus on convivial spaces, based on the owner’s desire to create “settings for the whole family, with large conversation areas.”

The interiors are the result of collaboration between architect Ezequiel Farca, who began his career in the world of industrial design, before turning to furniture and interiors, and the shipyard’s Interior Style Department. Farca, whose work is characterised by a multidisciplinary approach, had to rethink the model’s basic layout to include the lift requested by the owner, who played an active role in the design process and chose some of the details, including the two chandeliers (one by Swarovski), the big barbecue on the Sun Deck and the large kitchen table for family breakfasts, all of which contribute to the creation of a convivial atmosphere and a sense of sharing.

The yacht is powered by two CAT ACER C32 Rating D engines, each delivering 1,600 hp. Top speed stands at 15 knots, with a cruising speed of about 14 knots. The yacht’s range at a speed of 10 knots is about 3,000 nautical miles.
