Sanlorenzo 52Steel: Seven Sins

The first Sanlorenzo 52Steel, christened Seven Sins by her Belgian owner, wraps five-decks of timelessly elegant exterior lines drawn in collaboration with Officina Italiana Design. Examples of Sanlorenzo Superyacht’s dedication to maintaining the brand’s reputation for refined features, elegance and technical innovation abound–with the latter immediately evident from the moment one steps off the dock and boards Seven Sins at the stern.

Through the louvered transom plate the first teasing glimpse of the yacht’s tender is caught, while lateral shell doors to port and starboard hint at the transformative nature of this area. After the transom plate is raised, the garage is flooded and the tender slips gracefully out. Meanwhile, the lateral terraces are opened and a section smoothly lowers down from overhead– not only completing the floor of a vast teak-soled Beach Club, but also revealing the transparent bottom of the swimming pool above. While occupants of the pool bathe luxuriantly in the cockpit, the Beach Club and fully customized full-beam gymnasium below are bathed in a mesmerizing natural light, projected by the sun’s rays shifting playfully through the water. This dramatic conversion of the flooding tender garage into a prime waterfront salon was made possible by the extraordinary expertise of the Sanlorenzo Superyacht Technical Department.

From the sensational main deck lobby, where a glass exhibition case enclosed within the Carrara marble staircase displays the owner’s chosen artwork, guests descend to their accommodation on the lower deck where two VIP and two sumptuous en-suite guest cabins can be found, whilst a 6th guest cabin is located on the bridge deck. With the technical department, having undertaken exhaustive studies to reduce noise and vibration throughout the yacht, tranquillity reigns in these cabins and restful repose is assured. The owners meanwhile benefit from a suite of staterooms on the main deck that include a private office, colossal full-beam cabin and an en-suite that is so artfully sculpted it is appropriately dressed in marble sourced from the same area Michelangelo carefully selected his stone from.

Seven Sins–the largest yacht launched to date by Sanlorenzo–will be available for viewing during her world premiere at the forthcoming Monaco Yacht show held between the 27th and 30th September.
