The new platform www.sea-crowd.com is online since few days and it is the first crowdfunding platform in Europe exclusively dedicated to the sea: ideas and projects about boating, marine engineering, shipbuilding, yacht & brokerage, technology & innovation, sport & tourism, fishing & marine environment protection.
The platform cooperates with the main institutions, 7 Universities, Advisors & Venture Capitals companies and professionals working in the field of boating, marine engineering and of “Blue Economy” (economy connected to the sea).
Augusto Vecchi is the President of Sea Crowd Srl, the co-founders are Massimo Terenziani who is the CEO and Aldo Manna who is the COO.
They will be supported by a very expert technical board, which includes the professor Mr. Giuseppe Casalino (who teaches Robotics and Systems Engineering at the University of Genoa) and the engineer Mr. Lavinio Gualdesi who has led the Ocean Engineering Branch of NATO Centre for Undersea Research (Nurc) for 26 years untill 2008.
During the 5th edition of the International Fair “SEA FUTURE – See Innovation”, which took place at the end of May 2016 at the Arsenal in La Spezia, where the Navy of 27 countries and 115 companies exhibited to show their brand new marine technologies, SEA CROWD was presented to the public and it soon attracted many professionals who were very interested in it.
