Anvil is a 45-metre explorer yacht designed by SY Design, with a maximum beam of 9 metres, designed to redefine life on board through a balance of innovation, functionality and refined design. The layout has been carefully developed to optimise both the guest experience and operational efficiency, offering a contemporary interpretation of life at sea.
At the heart of the project lies a clear concept: contrast as an expressive language. The hull is compact and solid, designed to take on the sea with determination, with volumes that are visible from afar and a bow that cuts through the horizon with authority. In contrast, the superstructures are finished in a contrasting colour and appear visually lighter, almost suspended and separated from one another, like breathing levels. It is in the dialogue between these two souls — heavy and light — that Anvil’s identity takes shape. “Every visual tension is a response. Imbalance, when sought, becomes harmony.”
The vessel can accommodate guests in four double cabins, all fitted with double beds and designed to ensure comfort and privacy. The crew area comprises four double cabins and a captain’s cabin situated close to the wheelhouse, to ensure efficient management of navigation and on-board operations.
The top deck is entirely dedicated to the owner and serves as an exclusive, private retreat. It features an approximately 47-square-metre interior suite, flanked by a forward lounge area and a spacious 50-square-metre aft deck, offering a perfect blend of indoor comfort and outdoor living.
A key element of the design is the reconfiguration of the propulsion system. Traditionally spread over two levels, it has been redesigned on a single deck, freeing up valuable space on the lower deck and allowing for a new layout.
The result is a spacious and bright saloon, directly connected to the aft cockpit, where a semi-recessed swimming pool acts as a link between the interior and exterior. Opening hatches and fold-down gangways further enhance this relationship, transforming the space into a continuous environment that opens naturally towards the sea.
Inside, the saloon combines a living area, dining area and a guest-accessible galley, blending elegance with functionality. Every element is designed to strengthen the connection with the surrounding environment, creating an immersive experience where the boundaries between interior and exterior dissolve.
With Anvil, the lower deck is transformed into a refined hub of relaxation and conviviality, bringing guests into direct contact with the water and redefining the concept of life on board.
