Baglietto opens a new chapter in its tradition of large, high-performance aluminum yachts. Indeed, the Italian shipyard has launched the first example of the new FAST50 line, a 50-meter boat designed to propel up to 30 knots without sacrificing the space, comfort and livability typical of larger displacement boats.
The first hull in the series, identified by number 10268, is a full aluminum yacht under 500 GT and represents a significant evolution from the traditional fast yacht concept. The design does not just chase pure performance, but develops the boat over three real decks, introducing a wide-body configuration for the owner’s suite and significantly increasing interior volumes.

Baglietto FAST50: technical specifications.
On the technical side, the FAST50 is powered by four MTU 2000 M96L engines, a solution that allows the yacht to reach a maximum speed of 30 knots. The exterior design bears the signature of Francis Paszkowski, also author of the interiors together with Margherita Casprini, while the naval architecture was developed by Pierluigi Ausonio.
The aft area incorporates some solutions already introduced by Baglietto on the T-line, with a beach area developed on two levels and enhanced by folding bulwarks. The hull also features full-height opening windows on three sides of both the main deck and the upper deck, as well as the characteristic “cut-out” murate, now part of the shipyard’s stylistic language.
An additional technical element concerns the repositioning of the ventilation ducts outside the hull structure, a choice that further optimized interior volumes. The result is a yacht that combines sporty lines and dynamic proportions with a wider and more rational distribution of rooms than previous generation fast yachts.
Baglietto FAST50: hints of the automotive world
Baglietto also emphasizes the numerous references to the automotive world, visible in several details of the design. The integrated air intakes, the stern bollards inspired by sports car exhausts, and the hull coloring, a shade ” Porsche Chalk“, help define a muscular and contemporary aesthetic identity.
The room configuration includes. Four guest cabins on the lower deck, divided into two VIP and two twin, all with en suite bathrooms. In contrast, the crew area includes a crew mess, the captain’s cabin and four cabins for the crew, confirming a layout designed for extended cruises and family use of the vessel.
Special attention was also paid to the galley, located amidships on the main deck and described by the shipyard as particularly generous. The choice responds to a precise indication from the owner, who was interested in fully experiencing this environment.
The interior is dominated by the teak, used in both smooth finishes and strip work, with an approach that aims to combine textural warmth and visual lightness. The use of marble and natural stone, on the other hand, is deliberately restrained, in line with the strict weight controls needed to guarantee the performance required by the project. The external titanium handrails also respond to the same logic of technical optimization.
Baglietto FAST50: performance and versatility
On the operational front, the FAST50 features an aft garage with a flooding launching system, capable of accommodating a 7-meter tender. This is complemented by a second garage located forward, a solution that expands flexibility of use and allows toys, service vehicles and ancillary equipment to be organized on board without compromising guest space.
Completing the picture is the semi-tunnel hull with reduced draft, designed to ensure high performance even in areas characterized by shallower water. This is a non-secondary element for a boat that aspires to combine speed and access to bays or destinations normally less easy for yachts of the same size.
The debut of the FAST50 comes at a time when the superyacht market is looking with growing interest at platforms capable of reconciling performance and life on board. With this new line, Baglietto is trying to position itself in the next-generation sports yacht segment with a vessel that can offer 30 knots of speed, large owner volumes and superior sailing versatility.
