Baglietto MV13. The past is required for the future

Francesco Paszkowski Design created a contemporary day cruiser that still maintains the historical tradition of the military hulls from the famous Italian shipyard.

It proudly carries the signature of Francesco Paszkowski Design and it is inspired by the military boats which gave fame and prestige to the Baglietto shipyard at the beginning of the last century. Recently, the famous shipyard has also celebrated its 160th anniversary of activity. The lines created by the collaboration between the Florentine designer and the Technical Office of the shipyard are clean and essential; but they are also combined, in a continuous alternation, with elements that characterize a modern open. This is essentially what Baglietto MV 13 is composed of. A 13 meters-long day cruiser that functions as a real common thread between the yard’s past and present prestigious work. Today the  shipyard is part of the Gavius Group.

The color of the hull is gray, to recall the material with which it is constructed (aluminum). It is provided of a long foredeck, a running roof and a very deep and sheltered cockpit. A setting that expresses  great seaworthy power from the imprinting of the military’s Torpedo Armed Boat, (used in World War I and built by Baglietto). A clear example of this historical element is found in the two retaining structures of the canopy. This setting also contains modern elements like the large sun-deck that occupies the afterdeck, in the platform for the bathroom and the kitcken in the cockpit. The kitchen is equipped of a cocktail bar, a refrigerator, a sink and a retractable TV.

As a day cruiser, Baglietto 13 MV maintains its strict style even in the interiors. Here,Margherita Casprini, from Francesco Paszowski Design, has combined yesteryear’s charms with modern comfort qualities. The result of her research for material and finishing touches is a boat with a great formal character but perfectly equipped in its interiors. The interiors include a dinette, a kitchen, a bathroom and a cabin. The style is characterized by an interesting  mix between natural teak, leather, corian and wood with a lacquer finishing that evoke the boats’ planking. The paint color is in aluminum gray and it really attracts the eye to the boat’s exterior.
