Time for anniversaries. Time for celebrations. Time for anniversaries. Yes, time. A key word in which the path followed by Baglietto is reflected. A route, that of the Ligurian shipyard, 170 years long. A story of vision, passion and adventure, capable of navigating through the challenges of three centuries and continually redefining the concept of the yacht. To fix this unique moment, Baglietto wanted to create a unique timepiece.
Made in only 170 pieces, the Millemetri Baglietto 1854 Watch was also conceived with the invaluable support and contribution of Francesco Paszkowski, who for over thirty years has been the reference signature of the boats built by the La Spezia-based shipyard. Together with Alberto Grassi, designer of the watchmaker Millemetri, Paszkowski has made his creativity and nautical expertise available to conceive a timepiece focusing on Baglietto’s aesthetic and stylistic codes: from the Baglietto logo on the dial, which is obviously blue, to the numbering engraved on the back of the case where it features, in addition to the Anniversary commemorative logo, the well-known motto ‘Memento Audere Semper’ which inspired the poet D’Annunzio for the historical MAS, the boats that made the brand famous during the World Wars.
The crown is also customised, engraved with the seagull pictogram, while the strap could only be Baglietto blue. Attention to detail can also be found in the customised packaging in glossy blue lacquered wood and stainless steel logo finish. In detail, the watch features a bronze and aluminium case framing a dial with unique graphics. Luminova-coated hour markers and Roman numerals, as well as hour and minute hands, appear on the outermost, blue-tinted ring.
Handling the functions of the timepiece is a Sellita Calibre 200.1, a Swiss Made self-winding mechanical movement with a 38-hour power reserve. The diver vocation of this limited edition is underlined by water resistance to 100 atmospheres, or 1,000 metres. The watch is available for exclusive sale while stocks last.
