Besenzoni at Fuorisalone with the installation “Reflections on the sea”

Following the success of the 2023 edition, Besenzoni once again takes part in the Interni Cre-Action exhibition-event during FuoriSalone and Milan Design Week, reinforcing its presence at one of the most prestigious international design events. From April 7 to 13, 2025, the company, a global player in the production of nautical components, will be featured with an evocative installation within the Courtyard of Honor at the University of Milan as part of FuoriSalone.

Reflections on the sea

In collaboration with the architecture and yacht design studio Christian Grande, Besenzoni presents “Reflections on the Sea: a journey into the essence of Besenzoni,” an artwork that transforms the core values of the company into artistic form: excellence, innovation, and harmony with the marine environment.

Reflections on the sea

The installation consists of a series of mirrored platforms emerging from a symbolic sea, evoking the idea of a sequence of waves and creating a fascinating interplay of reflections and perspectives. Each element represents an icon of the Besenzoni world: the gangway, symbolizing the connection between land and sea, and the pilot chair, embodying the bond between navigation and comfort. The mirrored surfaces dematerialize objects, suggesting the perfect integration between Besenzoni products and the yachts they are installed on. The movement of the waves and the marine horizon come to life through light and reflections, offering visitors an immersive visual and sensory experience.

Christian Grande

Christian Grande Studio – as with numerous other products and projects developed for Besenzoni – has successfully interpreted the brand’s essence through an artistic language that merges functionality and beauty.

“Reflections on the Sea” is not just an artistic installation but an experiential journey that engages the viewer, making them part of the artwork itself. The use of mirrors creates a dialogue between the environment, light, and the visitor, inviting them to reflect on the relationship between humans and the sea. The installation represents a perfect synthesis of aesthetics and technology, embodying Besenzoni’s philosophy: innovation while respecting the marine heritage.

Giorgio Besenzoni, CEO of the company, states: “We are very pleased to have the opportunity to participate in FuoriSalone once again. Design is a universe that fascinates us and is inherently connected to our industry: yachts are an expression of design and stylistic excellence, and we believe that the dialogue between the nautical world and design can open new perspectives. Our presence here is not just a showcase but an opportunity to share our design approach in a broader context.”

Through this installation, Besenzoni reaffirms its commitment to promoting design evolution, not only enhancing the functionality of its products but also acting as a spokesperson for aesthetics capable of evoking emotions and deep connections with the marine environment. The company continues to explore new expressive forms, translating its vision into immersive experiences that bring the audience closer to the beauty and harmony of the sea.

Technical features of the installation

The “Reflections on the Sea” installation consists of four sculptural metallic elements with mirrored cladding and an internal structure made of box-section metal profiles. Each element is equipped with an internal counterweight to ensure stability and prevent tipping. The sculptures reach a maximum height of 280 cm and a depth of 150 cm, with harmonious and balanced proportions.

Completing the artwork are glass panels with different surface finishes and shades, evocative of the sky and water. Thanks to varying transparency levels and light refraction, these panels create a dynamic and iridescent visual effect, emphasizing the interaction between light, matter, and space.

Besenzoni invites you to visit the installation at the University of Milan, Via Festa del Perdono 7, from April 7 to 13, 2025.
