Ferretti Yachts 1000

Sporty lines, large living areas and absolute “Just Like Home” comfort for the new Ferretti Yachts flagship.

“It was an important project. Delicate as it was the new flagship of the fleet and so we had to be meticulous about every single element, from the exterior design to comfort and performance. It was a flagship that had to have everything the best of everything”. Architect Filip-po Salvetti is describing the Ferretti Yachts 1000 for which he penned the exteriors. The project is the brainchild of the Strategic Product Committee chaired by Piero Ferrari, the Ferretti Group’s Engineering Department, the aforementioned Salvetti and Ideaeltalia which created the interiors. It is the result of lengthy work and in-depth market analysis, straddling over 40,000 hours of research and 4,250 hours of naval design before a further 9,65o were spent making the mould and the prototype of this 30.13m.

Salvetti eagerly adds: “The references to Ferrari heritage as part of a journey of renewal of the range begun in recent years”. A very visible case in point is the semi-wide body, a signature of other Ferretti Yachts, which resulted in a profile that combines sporty lines, underscored by fashion plates aft and in the central zone, with large volumes that deliver on the award-winning Ferretti «Just Like Home» tagline. “It’s not an annoying kind of comfort, rather it communicates a message of tranquillity,” is how Alessio Battistini of Ideaeltalia explains the studio’s approach to crafting interiors to meet a variety of different requirements. His Ideaeltalia co-found-po Salvetti is describing the Ferretti Yachts 1000 for which he penned the exteriors.

His Ideaeltalia co-found-er, Davide Bernardini, adds that this was done “by making the lines as clean as possible through very sparing, meticulous use of materials, very simple forms and lines”.

All whilst maintaining the functionality and Italian flair that, together with virtuoso craftsmanship, are Ferretti’s trademarks. In fact, Ferretti’s Yachts various design divisions worked with Salvetti and Ideaeltalia to create new styling cues for the yard. Hence, the new Ferretti Yachts 1000 is clothed in taut lines with bow that streamlines it mass. Long, wide windows dominate its side profile enclosing spaces and volumes that give owners huge scope to create their own very personal style of onboard living. For the Ferretti Yachts 1000 is a very roomy craft indeed. Just for starters, the flybridge spans 55 sqm and is sheltered by a carbon-fibre T-Top. Next, the aft cockpit is 40 sqm and connects directly to the beach club, which has a patented Ferretti Yachts platform from which three steps emerge once it is submerged, making it easier to get out of the water and to access the garage. That said, the very pinnacle of spaciousness, flawless ergonomics and distinctive sophistication is the main deck.

The large saloon offers both lounge and dining areas and is followed by a 1o sqm galley. Beyond this is the bow area taken up entirely by the master quarters. Here a serious of spaces are encased in large windows with walnut, a dominant wood throughout in various guises, dialoguing with various other materials such as the leather trim of the tops, suede in the master cabin and marble in the bathrooms. It also interacts with furnishings by the designer likes of Minotti, Cattelan and Poltrona Frau. Roda pieces features in the exterior areas of the fly, the forward lounge on the main deck and the cockpit too. The same sophisticated combinations are also to be found in the four double staterooms on the lower deck. Like all Ferretti Yachts 1000 designs, these are offered in a choice of two moods, two interpretations of colour, tone and contrasts. Classic is soft not just in terms of colour but also line, while Contemporary reveals fresh tones and stronger colours. Two variations on a theme that delivers a superb take on the very best of the “Just Like Home” concept aboard the Ferretti Yachts 1000.
