Michele Dragoni for Bee Yacht 35m Explorer

Michele Dragoni designed the interior of the Bee Yacht 35m Explorer (which has Hydrotec exteriors). Natural light is at the heart of the interior design, which is why all reflective materials are placed near the windows to enhance the natural light throughout the interior. The interior is characterised by light and elegant materials. All walls are made of two main materials, light oak and white lacquer, divided by a dark horizontal frame that creates the right contrast. Carrara marble is the protagonist in the owner’s Turkish bath and in the staircase atrium.

Backlit white onyx is present as a background for the niches in the cabins, as a precious detail. The overall moodboard of this yacht contains low contrasts, the colours are predominantly light. In the main saloon, the vertical walls are crossed horizontally by a thin, high-contrast dark lacquered frame, located about two-fifths of the overall height. The lower area is in matt bleached oak with vertical veneer lines, while above the frame the panel is white. In many areas, the vertical paneling bends to form sinuous curves, highlighted by the dark frames that limit the ceiling and the natural oak parquet flooring. This type of layout is used in all interiors.
