In the sea of the ancient gods
On the Glyfada waterfront a stone’s throw from the Parthenon, the One&Only Aesthesis offers a unique landscape immersed in history and culture.
On the Glyfada coast, a short distance from the centre of Athens, immersed in 21 hectares of a verdant natural landscape, stands One&Only Aesthesis, the latest link in the chain of resorts managed by Kerzner International Holdings Limited through the One&Only brand in some of the most fascinating and exclusive corners of Mexico, Mauritius, the Maldives, South Africa, Dubai, Rwanda, Malaysia and Australia. The new One&Only Aesthesis is a refined response to the growing demand for sophisticated, select resorts like the One&Only destinations. Standing in a 6-hectare nature reserve and stretching for 2.2 kilometres along the coast to the east of the Greek capital, in the words of Philippe Zuber, CEO of Kerzner International, the One&Only Aesthesis is “The perfect destination for a Greek adventure”.
Over the years the resort has hosted the international jet set, and now a skilful re-styling has transformed One&Only Aesthesis into a select all-year round destination. Its appeal is based on an exciting combination of attractions, ranging from the Greek history and culture of Athens with its monuments, museums, events and sparkling nightlife just a few minutes’ drive from the resort on capital’s coastline. Standing on the Saronico Gulf, with its lovely islands, from Egina and its temples to the untouched natural landscape of Poros, the One&Only Aesthesis is located in an area that hosts the Glyfada Golf Club as well as a number of nature reserves. It is also a few minutes from Lake Vouliagmeni, a spectacular natural feature that combines therapeutic properties and briny waters.
The exclusive nature of the One&Only Aesthesis derives above all from its the refined stay and services offers. As in all One&Only resorts, all the facilities provide maximum privacy in all the accommodation, from the rooms overlooking the sea to the bungalows with terrace a stone’s throw from the waterfront, the private swimming pool and the open-air day area with loungers and a walkway for convivial evenings in the moonlight. Not forgetting the colours and rich textures of the stone and wood of the buildings, enhancing the charm exuded by the elegant mid-zoth century residences. These feature two or three bedrooms, open-air entertainment areas and colourful gardens with flowers and exotic plants.

The One&Only Aesthesis offer is completed by two villas – the Villa Nostos, surrounded by nature, and the Villa One, whose sinuous mid-zoth century design combines with elements of Greek architecture to create a modern space full of interest and sensations. Villa One has an interior area of 519 square metres and exterior area of 922 square metres. It offers its guests two magnificently furnished double bedrooms separated by hanging gardens, indoor and outdoor dining rooms, sunlight-filled lounges and a professional standard kitchen. These are joined by children’s rooms – One&Only Aesthesis has a well developed series of facilities and initiatives for youngsters staff quarters, a jacuzzi and gym space.
The large split-level outdoor area hosts a swimming pool on the sea. Rooms, bungalows, residences and villas all boast excellent services, from those offered by the Chenot spa with its famous treatments developed by Henri Chenot to the partnership with Guerlain, where the One&Only Aesthesis offers ten treatment rooms, a sauna, hammam, swimming pool and fitness centre, as well as the Guerlain Beauty Studio. Well-being is at the heart of the One&Only Aesthesis philosophy, expressed through the dishes prepared by chefs Ettore Botrini and Paco Morales. Together they showcase the culinary traditions of Italy, Andalucia and Greece in a sumptuous celebration of gastronomic creativity and technique.
