Siman Yachts and Horacio Bozzo present Enzo

Siman Yachts’ signature construction and technical quality combined with Horacio Bozzo’s design have produced with 50m with innovatively designed space.

A superyacht that delivers genuine contact with the sea. “She hasthe largest sun deck available on the market today,” explains Horacio Bozzo whose studio crafted the profile of the 5om Enzo. The design, as the Argentinean designer is at pains to point out, centres around using space in an innovative way. Bozzo got a very clear concise brief for a Jom charter yacht from the La Spezia-based Siman Yachts, which is based in La Spezia and decided to enter the sector in its own right in 2018 after many years of focusing on repairs and working with various superyacht builders. It launched the 45m Miss Candy in summer 2022 and she is about to be followed up by another 45m. “Delivery is scheduled for spring 2024,” Siman’s General Manager Gianfranco Giannotti tells us. “But we’ve also penned a 35m and the next logical step was to build a 5om because we feel that is what the market wants right now. Also we can stay competitive but still give full vent to all our qualities, especially on the technical side, which is what the Maraglia family wants for our yachts”. The Enzo in the 5om’s name, in fact, an homage to Enzo Maraglia, who founded the Siman Group which is now run by his son, Fabrizio.

A fantastic al fresco living area lies forward over two garages for water toys and tender.

“We started from scratch,” remembers Bozzo, “and from the importance of having a functional design that embodied the Bauhaus idea of marrying form and function, and finding a balance between the useful and the beautiful”. Enzo’s profile is dominated by the long windows of the main deck and the entirely glazed structure of the upper deck. However, Horacio Bozza has laid out many of the spaces in an entirely new way. First and foremost being the beach club which is genuinely open to the sea, something not normally the case. “We brought it right outside,” he explains. “It’s no longer enclosed in the stern with just one side open to the sea. Here there are open terraces and stairs that lead to the stern platform”.

The aft terrace on the upper deck, which, like the cockpit and beach club on the main deck, connects directly to the interior saloon.

Spread over two decks, it is a guest-focused space as the tender garage has been moved forward, leaving occupants undisturbed during launches and retrievals. The beach club also connects directly with the main deck interiors and the saloon, which is just aft of the master suite (there is also one VIP cabin on the upper deck and four standard guest cabins on the lower deck). “We tried to avoid doubling up by getting rid of any other similar areas in favour of just one large saloon that opens onto the outside living area,» says Bozzo. The same applies to the upper deck with the living area and its aft terrace, bringing the more informal al fresco spaces aboard up to 46o square metres. The sun deck in particular spans an impressive 146 square metres. At just under 21 metres long, it also has a pool forward plus a dining area and bar under the central roll bar, which can be enclosed by sliding doors.

A rendering of Enzo at anchor in a bay. Thanks to a hybrid propulsion set-up comprising diesel engines, generators and batteries, she can get there and ride at anchor with zero emissions.

“Because they are sheltered from the wind, they can be used in all weathers,» says Bozzo who also developed the naval engineering through Axis Group Yacht Design with the result that the Enzo can also be fitted with the Caterpillar Hybrid Propulsion System, which combines diesel engines, generators and batteries. “We did the exterior design,» concludes Bozzo, “but we develop the interiors but I imagine them as beach house-inspired. I would say that Enzo has a strong, vibrant and contemporary personality in terms of both her styling and the way onboard living has been thought out». Gianfranco Giannotti has the last word: “The designs for Enzo are with the Naval Register and construction starts shortly”. So stay tuned. Enzo and her concept of what a yacht is really will allow her guests to immerse themselves in the marine environment. And she’s almost here!
