Cannes Yachting Festival: the Ferretti Group worldwide premiere

Ferretti Group polishes its hulls and warms up its engines in view of the 44th edition of the Cannes Yachting Festival, one of the most renowned events in the nautical world, scheduled from 6 to 11 September 2022.

Six premieres are preparing to parade on the prestigious stage of the Côte d’Azur, for the brands Ferretti Yachts, Custom Line. Wally, and Riva, the Group’s historic brand that this year celebrates its 180th anniversary.

Ferretti Yachts 860

This eye-catching design by Ferretti Yachts stands out for its comfort, strong focus on wellbeing, exceptional performance, optimisation of space and the possibility of customising the layout of the rooms, in elegant Made in Italy style.

The result of collaboration between the Strategic Product Committee, chaired by Engineer Piero Ferrari, and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, Ferretti Yachts 860 is the third yacht developed by architect Filippo Salvetti for the exterior design and by the Ideaeitalia studio for the interior design.

The exterior features innovations that raise the yacht above the standards of the market segment. These include: the introduction of full-height windows and crystal side powers, which punctuate the streamlined and imposing profile, modulating its lines; the hull and superstructure windows in a family feeling with the brand’s latest models. The interior design, even more radical and distinctive, is dominated by rounded and harmonious lines with some characterising elements. The evolution of stylistic features and attention to architectural details make Ferretti Yachts 860 the ideal synthesis of the brand’s design vision.

Cannes Yachting Festival: Custom Line140′

Custom Line 140′ is officially the brand’s new flagship, the largest yacht built by Custom Line.

It proposes a profoundly sporty aesthetic canon that, at the same time, offers high standards of liveability for the owner and his guests, with excellent performance and superior technology, combining design and comfort in spaces never seen before.

The profile is elegant and powerful, the hull windows are large and generous, while on deck the floor-to-ceiling windows, thanks also to the open handrails, offer direct contact with the sea. The interiors are designed and built following Custom Line’s tailor-made philosophy thanks to the great skills and expertise of the Custom Line Atelier team of architects.

Cannes Yachting Festival: Riva 102′ Corsaro Super

A flybridge of dazzling beauty, the new 102′ Corsaro Super is enriched in size: 102 feet of majesty and new style accents that give life to an unprecedented masterpiece of nautical design, ready to leave a glorious mark in the history of the flybridge range.

With its 3 decks and 5 cabins for 10 guests on board, the promise of the new Corsaro Super is to dominate the sea: not only from the outside, through the full livability of almost 100 square metres of open-air spaces, but also from the inside, thanks to more than 140 square metres of magnificent glass and crystal surfaces that break down the limits of visual contact with the surrounding nature as much as possible.

Among the highlights of the new superyacht on the main deck is the complete redesign of the stern area. The entire area will be configured as a true extended beach club of over 35 square metres, in the name of conviviality and comfort. For the interiors, the dominant essence is Canaletto walnut, whose warm tones are contrasted by the unprecedented combination with satin-effect titanium ceilings or, at the owner’s choice, by the introduction of glass surfaces and cold colours.

Riva Anniversary

2022 is the year of celebrations for Riva. It marks 180 years since the brand was founded in Sarnico in 1842, 60 years since the launch of the legendary Aquarama, and 20 years of production of the legendary Aquariva.

2022 is the fascinating algorithm in which these unique anniversaries converge, all together, in the constellation of Riva successes: the result is called Riva Anniversario. A 33-foot open yacht with magnetic appeal, whose name is a clear reference to the celebration. Riva Anniversario is a tribute to the goals achieved with passion and determination, to the heritage of a shipyard that writes history and the future of yachting every day.

A limited edition produced in only 18 units, whose design is a eulogy to the classic profile of the Aquariva, characterised by clean lines and balanced volumes, in which stylistic details that deliberately recall the refined elegance of the Aquarama are skilfully blended.

Cannes Yachting Festival: Riva 76′ Bahamas Super

The second convertible yacht ever, a perfect synthesis of style and technological innovation, offers renewed space and comfort without giving up its original spirit.

Born on the naval platform of the 76′ Perseo, Riva 76′ Bahamas Super stands out for the C-Top, the aerodynamic carbon roof with which it is possible to change from open to coupé and vice versa, applied on the 76′ Bahamas to double comfort and fun on board.

On the outside, the aerodynamic profile of the hull – in Shark Grey with contrasting details in Bright Black – features a large glass window, interspersed with the Riva logo in chrome-plated steel. Inside, the style is refined and Mediterranean, with magnificent combinations of materials and colour contrasts between light and dark, emblematic of the Riva style.

Wallypower58

Last, but certainly not least, the latest addition to the range. At first glance the new wallypower58 appears to depart from the brand’s typical lines, but a closer look reveals that its refined aesthetics are nothing more than the splendid echo of an icon.

Previous wallypower models were mainly inspired by the wallytender, taking their cue from its angular profile, wraparound fenders and single step hull, while the brand new wallypower58 – which can still be considered the natural evolution of the wallypower52 -, offers the understated elegance and stylistic purity that characterised the forms of the line’s progenitor, the famous wallypower118, launched in 2003.

In the design of the superstructure, the wallypower58 combines many of the solutions that have made the more recent Wally models famous, such as the wraparound, pillarless windscreen windows, the deep manholes that connect bow and stern and the large social areas that look out onto the surroundings while remaining sheltered from sun, wind and spray.

The windows not only offer a panoramic view unique for yachts of this category, but also significantly improve safety when sailing by eliminating blind spots.
