Cantiere delle Marche: a Strong Start to 2026

Cantiere delle Marche (CdM) enters 2026 with a combination of international recognition, technological advancement and commercial success that reinforces its positioning as one of the most authoritative builders in the explorer yacht segment. Recent achievements span three strategic dimensions: award-winning design, full digital governance in naval engineering, and the sale of a second 45-metre explorer yacht inspired by Giorgio M. Cassetta’s acclaimed concept.

Double Triumph at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards

CdM’s 155-foot flagship RJ has secured two prestigious accolades at the Boat International Design & Innovation Awards, receiving recognition for both Outstanding Exterior Design by Francesco Paszkowski and Best Interior Design by Achille Salvagni. In addition, Tremenda earned a Judges’ Commendation, underscoring the shipyard’s broad-based excellence across multiple projects.

RJ

RJ, the fourth yacht in the RJ series and the longest yacht ever built by the Ancona-based yard, represents a mature evolution of the explorer platform. Her profile synthesizes the essential characteristics of a long-range explorer with the refined proportions of a contemporary luxury yacht. Judges highlighted the yacht’s logical deck layout, proportional balance, construction quality and distinctive detailing.

Internally, RJ distinguishes itself through a curated interpretation of soft minimalism. Achille Salvagni developed an interior reflecting the owners’ passion for contemporary art while maintaining coherence and livability. Particular attention was drawn to the carved ceiling over the dining area and to the sculptural staircase identified as a defining architectural feature.

Full Digital Governance: 3D Model Approval with RINA

CdM has implemented a structural transformation in its engineering and approval processes through collaboration with RINA. The shipyard transitioned from traditional 2D drawing-based workflows to direct validation of a single integrated 3D model functioning as the sole source of truth for design, construction and classification.

The integrated model encompasses structural elements, onboard systems, technical outfitting and both exterior and interior design. Through RINA’s digital platforms, classification approval is performed directly on the virtual model by verifying materials, thicknesses and structural continuity within the digital environment. This approach accelerates review cycles, reduces iteration times and minimizes cross-disciplinary misalignments. The digital twin supports the entire yacht lifecycle, from engineering and construction to inspection and maintenance.

Commercial Success: Second 45m Explorer Inspired by Cassetta’s Concept

CdM has secured the sale of a second 45-metre explorer yacht inspired by Giorgio M. Cassetta’s award-winning concept, marking another significant commercial achievement at the beginning of 2026.

While sharing the same conceptual foundation, the yacht has been developed as a distinct vessel, incorporating reconfigured deck spaces, customized interior layouts and refined technical specifications tailored to the owner’s cruising profile.

The project exemplifies CdM’s philosophy: proven explorer platforms executed with complete owner-focused personalization.

Taken together, these developments outline a coherent strategic trajectory. CdM is consolidating its reputation through aesthetic distinction, engineering innovation and consistent market validation. The convergence of creative excellence, digital governance and repeat commercial success reinforces the shipyard’s leadership within the global explorer yacht segment and establishes a solid foundation for continued growth.
