Cantiere delle Marche has announced the launch of Nasiba, the third unit in the successful Flexplorer 146 series. Built for young, adventure-seeking owners, Nasiba reflects the spirit of the Flexplorer line, which is characterized by its distinctive design and versatility.
With exterior lines more similar to those of Maverick than Mat (the first and second Flexplorer 146 launched last year, respectively), Nasiba stands out from the other units in the series thanks to a multitude of features and its original layout spread over four spacious decks, topped by a panoramic crow’s nest. Built for ocean exploration, Nasiba has been designed to allow long and demanding voyages in maximum safety and comfort. From the outset, the owner has been actively involved in the development of the project, working closely with CdM and the Hydro Tec design studio to develop a yacht designed for extended stays on board.
The result is a boat that perfectly combines robustness, functionality, and refined styling with the needs of family life. To handle tenders and large water toys, Nasiba is equipped with the Flexplorer line’s characteristic A-frame crane, discreetly housed in a flush-with-deck compartment when not in use.
As eco-friendly as possible
Renowned British studio Winch Design, responsible for the interior design, has created a serene and tactile environment centered on natural materials, soothing tones, and delicate textures. The client is very health-conscious and sustainability-minded and loves to be surrounded by nature. Using only natural, non-toxic or eco-friendly materials, Winch’s interior design draws on the natural world, favoring practices that generate low levels of electromagnetic fields (EMF) and materials with low emissions of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) to provide a healthy living environment. Warm colors, matte surfaces, and organic shapes and textures are everywhere, with clear references to the natural environment.
To meet the owners’ requirements, a Sustainable Material Manager has been appointed to check the origin and characteristics of all materials used in the interiors, ensuring compliance with the highest sustainability standards. “The owner wanted a yacht that could take his family anywhere in the world without compromising on comfort, privacy, and environmental responsibility,” says Vasco Buonpensiere. “Nasiba perfectly reflects their healthy and environmentally conscious approach. It is a bold yet refined interpretation of what a contemporary explorer yacht can and should be: a fusion of performance, comfort, and sustainability, a yacht designed to allow you to sail to the most remote destinations in the world with complete peace of mind.”
“The owners of Nasiba had a very precise and particular vision for this yacht, not only in terms of the capabilities, functionality and layout needed to embark on a round-the-world adventure safely and comfortably for their family, but also in the many unique technical and interior details that reflect their tastes and their philosophy of life, health and well-being,” says William Yates of WSuperyachts, the broker who introduced and represented the owner.
“With the support of the creative team at Winch Design and the Shipowner’s knowledgeable team, CdM approached the project with incredible skill, tackling and resolving the many challenges posed by such a complex project. From the numerous measures taken to reduce EMFs, to the infrared sauna, to the non-toxic and low-VOC finishes throughout the interior, the optimal solution was always found. Let me just say that the boat is simply stunning!”
Designed for life on board, ready for adventure
At the heart of Nasiba’s design is a layout conceived with a young family cruising for extended periods in mind. The layout reflects the need to offer optimal use of space for the family. The interiors are designed as a private retreat where serenity reigns. What really sets this yacht apart is its tailor-made approach to the owners’ lifestyle. It is worth noting that Nasiba’s layout differs significantly from that of the other two units in the series.
The design is focused on use by a young family, and the spaces have been designed with the physical and mental well-being of the passengers in mind. From the layout of the rooms and the furnishings of the guest cabins and common areas to the wellness areas intelligently integrated into the layout, every detail is designed for a balanced, connected, and peaceful lifestyle.
Since the entire family will be spending long periods on board, the owners have provided a large, specially designed room where their children can study and play in comfort. This multifunctional space is undoubtedly a rarity on yachts of this class.
A commitment to sustainability
Demonstrating a forward-thinking approach to environmental responsibility, Nasiba is equipped with a selective catalytic reduction (SCR) system that ensures full compliance with IMO Tier III emission standards. The system setup is the same as on Babbo, which has led to NOx reductions of up to 93%. This technology allows the vessel to sail safely even in ecologically sensitive areas, such as marine protected areas. Equipped with two Caterpillar C32 Acert engines, each delivering 746 kW, Nasiba will reach a maximum speed of 14 knots and have a range of 5,500 nautical miles at 10 knots.
