2025 was a symbolic year for Codecasa, culminating in celebrations for the 200th anniversary of its foundation. This historic milestone was not a point of arrival, but rather the beginning of a new phase. In fact, 2026 began with dynamism and market confidence, with two significant developments confirming the solidity of the Viareggio shipyard. The news is the launch of Legacy 4, a 57-metre yacht that took to the water at the end of February. One fact stands out above all others: it is the largest hull built by Codecasa in the last seven years. The project is the result of a long-standing collaboration with Tommaso Spadolini, a leading figure in Italian yacht design, and combines formal elegance with an ocean-going vocation.

Legacy 4 was designed for long voyages: it has a range of 5,000 miles at a cruising speed of 12 knots, while its maximum speed reaches 17 knots at light displacement thanks to a pair of Caterpillar 3512E engines, each with 1,771 kW (2,375 hp). On the technical front, Lloyd’s Register Emea – 100 A1, SSC “Yacht” Mono G6 – LMC + UMS – “Red Ensign Group Yacht Code – Part A” Full Compliance certification represents the highest quality standard in the industry. The interiors have been designed with comfort and functionality in mind, with layouts designed to ensure efficient and discreet service. On board there is an owner’s suite, five guest cabins, a captain’s cabin and six double cabins for the crew. The launch of Legacy 4 was preceded by the start of spec construction of the seventh unit in the successful Codecasa 43-metre series.

A distinctive feature is the vertical bow, which defines a bold and contemporary profile. The hull is made of steel and the superstructure of aluminium, with the design developed entirely by the in-house technical department. The layout is spread over four decks with two large salons, four large guest cabins and the owner’s suite at the bow of the main deck. There is also ample space for outdoor areas, with an open-air lounge at the bow of the upper deck. Delivery is scheduled for 2028. After two centuries of history, Codecasa continues to sail on a course whose coordinates are tradition, solidity and industrial vision.
