Custom Line Atelier

There are places where yachting transcends engineering to become a deeply personal story. Custom Line Atelier is one of them. Established in 2016 at the Ferretti Group Superyacht Yard in Ancona, the Atelier has redefined bespoke yacht design by creating unique narratives for every owner. Its philosophy is both simple and ambitious: to interpret each client’s vision until it becomes the very soul of the yacht. The Atelier offers dedicated interior design consultancy, combining innovative materials and functional solutions with a refined, distinctive aesthetic. Every space is conceived to reflect the owner’s personality and way of experiencing life at sea.

At the heart of the Atelier is a multidisciplinary team of six interior designers working alongside the Sales Department, Production, Marketing Office, and Yacht and Product Design specialists. The creative journey begins long before construction starts. From the earliest stages, the team collaborates closely with owners to define layouts, interiors, exteriors, materials, and onboard functionality. Designers often accompany clients and architects to the showrooms of prestigious furniture brands, helping shape every detail of the yacht’s identity.

At the same time, the Atelier works with suppliers and specialist partners to customize every furnishing, balancing aesthetics with weight, dimensions, and technical performance to ensure uncompromising stability, comfort, and efficiency.Owner involvement is central throughout the process. Detailed renderings, mood boards, storybooks, and shipyard visits provide a clear vision of the project, while architects and designers supervise daily work on board, coordinating craftsmen, carpenters, and electricians. Advanced visualization tools further streamline development, minimizing errors and optimizing production.

The Atelier’s outlook is inherently international. Every in-house project begins with a strategic dialogue with the Sales Department to understand the yacht’s destination market and owner profile. Whether for Europe, MEA, APAC, or AMAS, design choices are carefully calibrated, often favouring sophisticated, understated concepts that provide an elegant canvas for personal expression. Time management is equally essential. Precise coordination—from bespoke finishes to sourcing the finest materials—ensures a smooth workflow without compromising quality, even on the most demanding custom projects.

Two yachts perfectly illustrate this approach. The Custom Line Navetta 38, created with ACPV ARCHITECTS Antonio Citterio Patricia Viel and architect Filippo Salvetti, translates the designers’ vision into serene contemporary interiors featuring natural materials such as paper, oak, and stone. The Custom Line 140’, the brand’s flagship planing yacht unveiled at the 2022 Cannes Yachting Festival, designed by Francesco Paszkowski Design and Margherita Casprini, expresses a more dynamic spirit through sporty lines and refined leather detailing.

Different yachts, one defining philosophy: the Atelier is where creativity, engineering, and exceptional craftsmanship converge. Choosing Custom Line Atelier means more than commissioning a yacht—it means becoming part of a rare creative dialogue in which every detail tells a story.
