Eberhard & Co. is once again the Official Timekeeper of the Genoa International Boat Show.

For the fourth consecutive year, Eberhard & Co. has chosen the Show as the perfect stage to tell the public about its connection with human endeavours, those born from the desire to challenge time, whether it be routes traced on water, marine depths or roads travelled at full speed. ‘Being present at the Genoa Boat Show means much more to our Maison than simply participating in a prestigious event: it is an opportunity to recount our roots, built on passion and independence since the very beginning, and to share our vision of time as a companion in the most ambitious challenges,’ explains Mario Peserico, General Manager of Eberhard & Co. ‘Each of our timepieces holds stories of commitment, innovation and courage, and every year the Boat Show provides us with an inspiring stage, with a diverse and knowledgeable audience, with whom to celebrate these values,’ adds Peserico.

Thus, the Genoa boat show, scheduled from 18 to 23 September, becomes the perfect opportunity to closely retrace the history of the La Chaux-de-Fonds-based maison, marked by collections that have become true cult objects for connoisseurs and collectors. On this journey, now approaching the 140-year milestone that will be celebrated in 2027, the sea has played – and continues to play – a key role, thanks to the Scafograf range. Launched in 1959, this family of professional divers returned to the limelight in 2016, giving rise to a series of new references that quickly became best sellers. But the setting offered by the Salone will also be an opportunity to delve deeper into the history of Eberhard & Co. and discover its versatility, which extends from the depths of the sea to the asphalt and dirt roads. An unmissable moment will be the presence of champion Miki Biasion.

A legend of Italian rallying and long-time ambassador for the Maison, Biasion will be the protagonist of a talk scheduled for 21st September, also at the Motor Show, at the Eberhard & Co. Theatre. The meeting is intended to highlight the strong link between the company and the world of motor racing, particularly historic and sports cars. Just as the sea has been a natural laboratory for developing reliable technical solutions for diving watches, motorsport has also been a fertile ground for chronometry, giving rise to increasingly precise and high-performance instruments. Eberhard & Co. has left a lasting mark on the field of timekeeping with its Contodat model. Today, this model is back in the spotlight in two new versions, a time-only watch and a chronograph.

The design of the case and dial is based on a model from the 1970s, created when Palmiro Monti, then president of the company, decided to respond to the quartz crisis with a bold and original proposal. It was a winning idea, one that remains relevant after more than half a century. Specifically, the Contodat Chronographe features a 39 mm case, water-resistant to 100 metres, paired with an integrated three-link bracelet with alternating polished and satin finishes. The dial, available in four colour variations, retains the typical layout of a sports chronograph: two contrasting counters – continuous seconds at 9 o’clock and chrono minutes at 3 o’clock – and a trapezoidal date window at 6 o’clock.
