The new Grand Soleil 72

Performance and generous volumes for maximum comfort on board. These will be the two focal points of the Grand Soleil 72, a project that is a synthesis of the range already in production. The new GS 72 will have sweet, clean-cut and elegant lines and a reduced wetted surface. The hull design and the flared cross sections will allow for great shape stability and an accentuated dynamic length. Moreover, the pronounced V-bow will make it easier to cross the waves when sailing upwind or under power.

The sail plan includes a generous bow triangle and an accentuated J to facilitate mainsail trimming, making the boat more efficient in medium-light winds and short seas. The boat can be fitted with foresail and staysail as well as Code 0 and gennaker. The high-performance rudder blade, placed in a very forward position, will allow for easy manoeuvring and precise steering. The keel will be an inverted T with weldox blade and lead torpedo, but the owner can also opt for a lifting or a telescopic keel. At the stern, a large cockpit houses two coffee and dining tables that can be used separately. These two areas are joined by a relaxation area with two sundecks.
