EXTRA Yachts Unveils the New X70 Shadow

EXTRA Yachts introduces the new X70 Shadow, a 21-metre GRP planing yacht that inaugurates an entirely new line within the brand’s portfolio and redefines the concept of versatility at sea.

With its unmistakable EXTRA design DNA, the X70 Shadow evolves toward a bolder, more rational aesthetic. Sculpted volumes and geometries inspired by industrial design give the yacht a decisive character while enhancing its multifunctional vocation.

A True Chase Boat — And Much More

Conceived as a genuine chase boat, the X70 Shadow is engineered for rapid deployment: ideal for day trips, swift transfers to secluded bays, or fast connections to the mainland. At the same time, it functions as a fully capable support vessel, expanding the operational range and onboard possibilities of a mothership.

Despite her compact dimensions, onboard space is remarkably generous. At the stern, directly at water level, over 40 square metres are dedicated to a flexible, high-capacity deck area. Configurations include storage for a 5.20-metre jet tender, two jet skis and two motorcycles — or alternatively a 6.5-metre daysailer with two jet skis. When toys are deployed, the same area transforms into a lifestyle platform with freestanding furnishings, delivering exceptional adaptability.

A further 15-square-metre covered storage area accommodates seabobs, foil boards, SUPs and a full range of water toys. This space can also be configured as a gym serving either the mothership or guests onboard.

Where Leisure Meets Function

Five midship steps lead to a spacious cockpit designed for convivial living. The outdoor galley and generous dining area convert seamlessly into a lounge space, while folding bulwarks expand both the visual horizon and usable deck surface.

This cockpit embodies the essence of the X70 Shadow: a project that merges the experiential qualities of a leisure yacht with the operational efficiency of a support vessel — effectively creating a new segment in contemporary yachting.

Forward, the wheelhouse and enclosed dining area offer a 360-degree panoramic view. Below deck, two distinct layout concepts define the yacht’s dual identity.

The “Shadow” configuration is optimized for support duties, featuring two crew cabins with en-suite bathrooms, a galley with crew mess, and one or two guest cabins for mothership owners.

The “Pleasure” version positions the X70 Shadow as a fully independent yacht, with multiple layout options accommodating up to four guest cabins, each with private bathroom facilities, ensuring autonomous cruising comfort.

Performance with Purpose

Powered by twin Volvo Penta IPS D13 1350 engines, delivering 1,000 horsepower each, the X70 Shadow reaches a top speed of 30 knots and cruises comfortably at 26 knots, combining performance with operational efficiency.

Both exterior and interior design bear the signature of Lorenzo Berselli of Agon Studio.

With the X70 Shadow, EXTRA Yachts pushes the boundaries of contemporary yacht design, integrating performance, payload capacity, modular architecture and lifestyle-oriented solutions into a single, coherent platform.

A new way to experience the sea. A new way to be EXTRA.
