«The Salone del Mobile is an important event for Gervasoni, with many new products for both indoor and outdoor use. We presented the Mates sofa by Federica Biasi for outdoor use, the expansion of the Mediterraneo collection by Francesco Meda and new elements of the Eidos collection by Oscar and Gabriele Buratti. For the interior, there were new creations by Paola Navone, new bedroom elements by the Buratti brothers and a series of dining tables by Marco Acerbis. What characterises these collections, especially for outdoor use, is the research into materials: high quality teak wood is combined with glass, Carrara marble, concrete and lava stone, to create a refined and essential design, but always open to experimentation» explain Michele Gervasoni, CEO of Gervasoni.
Gervasoni has a long history of craftsmanship and innovation. Founded as a workshop specialising in wickerwork, the company has evolved over time, collaborating with the nautical industry as early as the 1920s. The real challenge in this sector is to combine resistance and refinement, using durable materials that withstand salt and bad weather, without sacrificing the aesthetic care and elegance typical of our brand. In recent years, design has evolved rapidly, and we at Gervasoni have always responded with a clear vision: the outdoors is not just an extension of the indoors, but an environment with its own identity, to be furnished with the same attention to detail as interiors.
We don’t follow the trend of hybridising indoor and outdoor, but rather enhance the specific characteristics of each space, offering solutions that guarantee comfort, refinement and a strong stylistic personality. The trends for 2025 confirm the growing demand for well-kept, welcoming and functional outdoor spaces, and our philosophy aims to respond to this need with versatile and resistant products. Innovation and sustainability are core values for Gervasoni.
We are committed to using recycled and sustainable materials, as in the case of Paola Navone’s Jeko collection, which uses ECO Teak, recovered from traditional Javanese houses. Glass and metal are also chosen for their ability to be recycled effectively, reducing waste. We also use innovative technologies, such as Wood Evolution for the backrests of the Brise chairs, a patented material that replaces plastic.
While maintaining a distinctive outdoor style, we have made our products increasingly versatile. For example, Federica Biasi’s Samet modular sofa, designed for indoor use, transforms into the outdoor version Mates with specific materials. The same goes for the Ghost Out collection by Paola Navone, which brings the iconic sofa to the open air with fabrics and finishes suitable for outdoor use. This flexibility allows us to offer solutions that maintain craftsmanship and refinement, responding to the needs of a market that is increasingly attentive to quality and durability.
