A special seminar entitled THE FUTURE OF THE AMERICA’S CUP- FROM FOILS TO MARINE SUSTAINABILITY takes place between 17.00 and 19.00 on October 11th next in the ex-Chiesa di Sant’Agostino Aula Magna in Bergamo University.
An introduction by the University’s Rector Remo Morzenti Pellegrini will be followed by addresses by Persico Group founder Pierino Persico, Luna Rossa Challenge construction coordinator Horacio Carabelli, Persico Marine CEO Marcello Persico, Harken vice president Emanuele Cecchini, Cariboni Group president Gianni Cariboni, Q.I. Composites CEO Stefano Beltrando, and Max Sirena, team director of the Luna Rossa Challenge, Challenger of Record #36. There will also be video input from Jeremy Pochman, co-founder and strategic director of 11th Hour Racing and an exhibition of photography by Carlo Borlenghi entitled About Foils.
