From April 9 to 11, Giorgetti and Benetti Yachts are among the protagonists of Icons of Italy, the initiative promoted by Altagamma that brings a selection of iconic objects and projects—which have helped define lifestyles around the world—to the heart of Manhattan, transforming the city’s boutiques and showrooms into cultural spaces dedicated to Italian creativity. The joint presence of the two brands stems from a long-standing collaboration that culminated in the B.Yond 37M, the Benetti yacht launched in 2022, for which Giorgetti handled the entire indoor and outdoor furnishings, thanks to its innate design flair and customization capabilities.
On the occasion of the event, Giorgetti and Benetti will share, at the Atelier Giorgetti in New York, the founding values of a now well-established dialogue: creativity, craftsmanship, attention to detail, and an uncompromising vision of design. This collaboration culminates in the presentation of two projects emblematic of their respective brands: on one hand, the Move rocking chair, designed by Rossella Pugliatti, a perfect synthesis of Giorgetti’s savoir-faire and its ability to interpret the dialogue between innovation and tradition in a contemporary key; on the other, B.Loft, the new concept yacht by Benetti, brought to life through a scale model that captures its design vision.
Among the brand’s most recognizable icons, Move is a perfect object in its organic complexity. A chair that redefines the concept of comfort through unconventional lines and a design capable of surprising.
Inspired by the forms that wood takes in nature, it is the result of extensive research into the mechanics of solid wood and reinterprets Giorgetti’s great tradition of cabinetmaking. Its complex structure consists of a double, organically shaped interlocking frame, composed of 31 pieces of solid ash with varying cross-sections.
Conceived according to new architectural principles, B.Loft is the new project by Cassetta Yacht Designers for Benetti that introduces a contemporary residential feeling aboard a mega yacht. The Cabana Deck®, located at the stern, is the distinctive feature: a shaded indoor-outdoor area with a 270° view and retractable wings, creating a 120-square-meter “pieds dans l’eau” platform, reinterpreting the Beach Club in an evolved key. The volumes inspired by residential architecture, the interiors characterized by double-height spaces, and the large glass surfaces express a new concept of life on board, centered on the perfect harmony of every space with the surrounding nature.
