The Altagamma Members’ Assembly has appointed Giovanna Vitelli as President of the Altagamma Foundation for the three-year term 2026–2029 and approved the proposals to renew the Foundation’s Board of Directors. Giovanna Vitelli, President of the Azimut|Benetti Group and former Vice President for the Marine Sector over the past three years, thus succeeds Matteo Lunelli, President and CEO of Ferrari Trento, who over the course of two terms strengthened the Association and its standing, worked on sustainability issues, and carried out numerous activities abroad.
Giovanna Vitelli is Chair of the Azimut|Benetti Group, the largest privately owned group in the recreational boating sector and a world leader in the production of yachts over 24 meters—a record it has held for over 26 years. A law graduate, Giovanna Vitelli served as Vice President for over 10 years at the family-owned group founded by her father Paolo in 1969, before becoming its President in 2023. The Group now operates 5 shipyards in Italy, 1 in Brazil, employs 2,500 people directly, and has a presence in more than 80 countries with 138 showrooms. Following a doubling of revenue over the past 5 years, the Group now generates 1.5 billion euros in revenue and has an order backlog extending through 2029.
Since 2020, Giovanna Vitelli has been a member of the Altagamma Board.
