We are only a few days away from one of the most qualified courses of Yacht Design that will take place in Italy. We’re talking about the Advanced Training Course in Yacht Design and Construction organised by IED (European Institute of Design) in Turin’s headquarters.
The course, which will be held in English, will start in the month of April; it will last six months and it expects a part-time attendance. The aim is to train professionals who will be able to master the processes of design and construction of a boat, starting from the drafting of a concept to get to the construction phase in the shipyard. The topics covered include history, naval architecture, construction and analysis of the yacht, the design tools and a navigation workshop. Lessons will not only be held in IED’s classrooms, there will also be on-field classes in shipyards, nautical industries and design studios.
There will also be interesting insights during lectures offered by shipyard directors, interior designers, shipowners, captains of sailing yachts, motor boats racing team managers and sailmakers. A concrete expression of the professional reality in which the IED yacht designers will operate.
