Designed by Enrico Gobbi of Team for Design, ISA Yachts’ new Continental line completely rethinks the whole megayacht concept. It spans just two models: a 65m and an 80m, both clad in classic lines given a contemporary reworking.
The 80m is a steel and aluminium five-decker with large aft deck overhangs which form a series of stepped terraces that taper downwards to the sea. There are also balconies in the central section of the yacht and generous windowing on all decks. Another focal point is the rectangular infinity pool aft which takes up the full beam. It also an aft end wall comprising two sheets of glass between which water flows to create a beautiful waterfall effect.
It is also connected to the beach club below by two side stairs, becoming an extension of the latter. When the beach club hatch is closed, it creates a black trapezoid, the signature motif of the Continental line. Also noteworthy is the upper deck which is really an owner’s deck with saloon and living area aft and the master suite forward. There is even a touch and go helipad with direct access ot the owner’s quarters. Seven cabins accommodate 12 guests who will be cared for by 19 crew with 10 cabins at their disposal. The 80m makes 17 knots at full throttle or cruises for 6,200 nm at 12.
