One detail tells the story of Sea Raider X‘s ancestry better than any other: a black-painted steel hull beneath a silver aluminium superstructure. It is the same combination with which, in 2014, ISA Yachts delivered Okto, the 66-metre that brought the Gran Turismo line to international attention. Twelve years on, the Ancona yard — now part of the Palumbo Superyachts group — has delivered the 67-metre that inherits her legacy and which it presents as the new flagship of its fleet. Launched on 8 May, Sea Raider X was handed over to her owner on 20 July and will make her official debut in a world premiere at the Monaco Yacht Show.
Sixty-seven metres overall, arranged across four decks plus a bilge deck: the figures given by the yard place her squarely in the territory ISA Yachts has occupied for more than a decade, that of displacement yachts above sixty metres drawn in the visual language of sports boats. The continuity with Okto’s livery is not a nostalgic gesture but a declaration of belonging to a design family the yard has chosen to grow rather than replace.
Vallicelli outside, Gobbi inside
The exterior lines are signed by Vallicelli Design, the studio behind the 2014 progenitor as well, while the interiors are entrusted to Team for Design – Enrico Gobbi. Naval architecture has been developed in-house by the shipyard, as is standard practice on projects in this line.
The stated stylistic theme is contrast — morphological before it is chromatic — between the organic lines of the decks and the rigorous, diamond-shaped geometry of the transom and the sun deck superstructure. The side profile of the superstructure is organised around a frame element connecting the wheelhouse roof to the aft bulwark of the main deck: a device that holds the entire side view together and picks up one of the most recognisable styling cues of the Gran Turismo family line.
The main deck rethought from aft
The most interesting part of the project, though, sits aft on the main deck, where the whole area has been redesigned around a six-and-a-half-metre panoramic swimming pool. The lounge surrounding it gains deck space thanks to two fold-down terraces, and integrated staircases lead directly down to the aft platform and the beach club, connecting the principal social area to the water without passing through the interior.
The same logic of transformation governs the level below. The main tender, at over seven and a half metres, is housed aft on the lower deck and launched through a side-opening hatch; the garage connects to the beach club, which holds a hammam, a bar and a gym area. Once the tender has been launched, the entire covered aft section becomes a full-beam space and the usable area of the beach club doubles. The yard presents this as one of the defining features of the project, and it effectively shifts the centre of gravity of life on board towards the lower aft deck.
Seven cabins, fourteen guests
The guest layout accommodates up to fourteen people in seven cabins, with the owner’s suite positioned forward on the main deck and running the full beam. The crew numbers thirteen plus the captain, housed in eight cabins: an almost one-to-one ratio between guests and crew, consistent with the standard of service expected on a yacht of this size and with the demands of managing a set of transformable exterior spaces.
A family that keeps expanding
Sea Raider X arrives at a moment of expansion for the line. In September 2025 ISA Yachts presented a new generation of the Gran Turismo 66, with exteriors signed this time by Team for Design – Enrico Gobbi; in January 2026 the yard announced the sale of a 68-metre Gran Turismo to an American owner, with the keel laid in February and delivery scheduled for 2028, returning to Vallicelli Design for the exteriors and Team for Design for the interiors, and described by the yard as derived directly from the Okto platform.
What began as a single idea of a grand sea coupé has become a design branch with several concurrent offshoots, assigned to different studios and drawn across closely spaced lengths. Sea Raider X is, for now, its most recently delivered expression: the chance to judge her in person comes at Port Hercule in September.
