The new 38-meter model marks a significant step forward in the evolution of the Mangusta GranSport line. Presented in its world debut at the Miami International Boat Show, the Mangusta GranSport 38 introduces a fresh architectural approach while reaffirming the brand’s core values of performance, volume, structural elegance and versatility.

More than a range extension, the project signals a new chapter for Mangusta’s concept of the Sport Utility Yacht: a synthesis of speed, efficiency and long-range capability combined with expansive interiors and refined design. Conceived for a dynamic, international clientele, the GranSport 38 addresses the demands of owners seeking performance and autonomy without compromising on comfort or aesthetic coherence.
Built in composite at the Viareggio shipyards, the yacht completes the current GranSport offering and responds to a growing desire to experience the sea as a continuous, immersive environment. Efficiency is central to the project. The adoption of Volvo Penta IPS propulsion ensures reduced fuel consumption, lower emissions and minimal vibration, enhancing onboard comfort while optimizing operational performance.

The Concept: Double Asymmetry, New Perspectives
At the core of the Mangusta GranSport 38 is a sophisticated double-asymmetry design developed across two decks. On the Main Deck, the side walkway is positioned exclusively to port, while on the Upper Deck it shifts to starboard. This architectural choice is not a stylistic exercise but a strategic design solution aimed at maximizing interior volume and reinforcing the yacht’s sporting identity.
The result is a redefinition of spatial perception. As in architecture and fine art, perspective becomes a deliberate act: lines, openings and visual connections are calibrated to create constantly evolving viewpoints. Space gains depth and identity through carefully composed relationships between interior and exterior.
Living the Sea Without Boundaries
The spatial configuration of the GranSport 38 is grounded in a principle of residential continuity. Expansive glazing, minimal structural interruptions and uninterrupted sightlines establish a constant dialogue with the horizon. Interior and exterior merge seamlessly, generating a fluid onboard experience defined by light, openness and visual depth.
On the Main Deck, the elimination of one side passage allows the salon to expand to starboard, transforming it into a broad, horizon-facing living area. Floor-to-ceiling glazing and continuous glass surfaces dissolve physical boundaries, creating the sensation of being suspended above the water. Forward, the full-beam owner’s suite becomes a private terrace overlooking the sea, fully aligned with the yacht’s architectural concept.

The Upper Deck mirrors the Main Deck’s asymmetry in reverse, further enhancing functionality and spatial fluidity. Distinctive glass structures become defining design elements, reinforcing the yacht’s sporting character while amplifying natural light and visual transparency. The Upper Salon, an expansive al fresco dining area and Mangusta’s signature infinity pool at the bow form a series of privileged vantage points from which to experience the sea.
The Sun Deck is conceived as a “private horizon” — an intimate, contemplative space designed for discretion and uninterrupted views.
At the stern, a two-level beach club completes the layout. The full-beam Main Deck cockpit, furnished with a bar and two large C-shaped sofas, connects via a central staircase to the swim platform below. Two sunpads with integrated storage face directly onto the water. Fold-down side terraces and a transformer platform expand the usable area, creating a flexible social zone deeply integrated with the marine environment. The lateral-opening garage accommodates two jet skis and a tender up to 5.5 meters.

Luxury Living, Tailored
The Mangusta GranSport 38 accommodates up to 12 guests in five cabins, supported by a crew of seven in four dedicated quarters. High standards of privacy and comfort are complemented by bespoke interior design developed in exclusive collaboration with Alberto Mancini.
As with every Mangusta project, customization lies at the heart of the process. Each yacht is conceived through a close dialogue with the owner, translating individual lifestyle, habits and expectations into a coherent design language. From layout configuration to material selection and detailing, the objective is to give form to a highly personal vision of life at sea.Powered by the new Volvo Penta IPS Professional platform — comprising four Volvo Penta D13 engines rated at 1,000 HP each, coupled with twin pod drives — the GranSport 38 features a compact engine room configuration that increases onboard living space. The yacht reaches a top speed of 20 knots and cruises comfortably at 18 knots, with a range of up to 600
