Marina di Loano: the new Badaia restaurant and what’s new for 2026

A seaside restaurant spanning 450 square meters with approximately 600 square meters of terraces. This is Badaia, the new restaurant in Marina di Loano on the Western Ligurian Riviera. Badaia, inaugurated in early December on the second floor of the Central Pier in Marina di Loano, offers a 360° view of the marina, the city, and the sea, and is located in a spectacular panoramic position.

A contemporary, sustainable destination

“The inauguration of Badaia,” said Gianluca Mazza, CEO of Marina di Loano, part of the Unipol Group, “marks a fundamental step in the journey we’ve undertaken in recent years. We’ve invested in improving the quality of services and making the Marina a contemporary, sustainable destination, open to the city. I thank Alice and Jacopo Lovisolo for enthusiastically embracing this innovative vision and for the professionalism with which they contributed to the project’s realization.”

Badaia: a gourmet offering under the banner of hospitality

Badaia is created in collaboration with the Lovisolo family, a historic Ligurian restaurant and hospitality excellence that has been operating in the region for 120 years. As the fifth generation of the family explained: “We chose to invest in a project that strengthens our connection with the local area,” explain Alice and Jacopo Lovisolo, fifth generation Lovisolos and managers of Badaia. “The goal was clear: to create a restaurant capable of enhancing Marina di Loano with a contemporary and recognizable offering, founded on quality, sustainability, and a clear identity. We brought here everything we’ve learned over time: our approach to hospitality, our respect for raw materials, and our attention to people. A place where hospitality and cuisine speak the same language, remaining faithful to our family history and expressing the region through the excellence of its ingredients.”

Marina di Loano, a truly integrated system

After the opening of Badaia, the Marina di Loano development plan will continue, with a series of projects transforming the port into an integrated system for boaters, residents, and tourists. This includes the new pedestrian zone connecting the port to the city center, the opening of new commercial and restaurant businesses, new offices and reception areas, the expansion of the fitness and wellness areas, and the completely renovated beach.

The new Yacht Club Hotel and the new Water Suites

Another project in the coming months will be the expansion of the Marina di Loano Yacht Club Hotel, which will enhance the accommodation offering by transforming the guesthouse into a hotel: “We’re creating 25 rooms,” explains Mazza, “and in the meantime, looking around the world, I’ve seen this format of what are also called ‘water cabins.’ Since Marina di Loano is also a Marina Resort, we decided to expand the 2026 tourist offering with a major innovation: the Water Suites.”

The Water Suites in Marina di Loano: Experience the Sea

True floating suites, the Water Suites in Marina di Loano offer all the amenities of the Marina and the hotel, along with the freedom and excitement of living directly on the sea. “Spacious interiors, over three meters of aft terrace, and an enormous flybridge,” concludes Gianluca Mazza. “The Water Suites fit perfectly and expand the tourist offerings of Marina di Loano. Our Water Suites are the new frontier of high-end hospitality at sea.”
