The Myba Yacht Charter Show is the most prestigious event of the year dedicated to super yachts for charter and the most important for brokers, international management companies and the entire supply chain, from shipyards to maritime agencies, from marinas to insurance and service companies, as well as for crews arriving from all over the world.
Organised by The Worldwide Yachting Association (MYBA), the world’s leading association of luxury charter professionals, the event will bring together an audience of excellence in one of the most evocative locations in the Mediterranean. The 2025 edition returns to its roots in Portosole, San Remo, where it was launched for the first time 35 years ago, and marks the beginning of the charter season in the Mediterranean.
Gunes Aysun, MYBA Charter Show Panel Chairman, commented: ‘Bringing the MYBA Charter Show back to San Remo is like coming home. The enthusiasm shown by the industry has been incredible, with an extraordinary selection of yachts, top-level professionals and an excellent programme. We look forward to welcoming everyone for what will be a memorable event’.
As for the exhibition, over 82 yachts are expected (six of which are over 70 metres) with a total fleet length along the quays of over 3.5 km, ranging from 16.8 metres to 90.1 metres. There will be over 800 crew members, while the number of charter professionals (brokers, central agents, etc.) is set to break all records. A sea shuttle service will be available to facilitate the movement of participants.
‘We are truly honoured to host an event of such magnitude and importance for the nautical sector,’ said Giorgio Casareto, CEO of Portosole Sanremo. ‘This year our port has embarked on a new course, based on an ambitious growth project that aims to consolidate Portosole’s position among the top players in the sector, focusing both on consistency of action based on a long-term strategic vision and on improvement actions to be implemented in the short and medium term. Being able to seal this turning point with a project such as the organisation of MYBA 2025, underlines a new beginning in the name of concreteness and a management style strongly oriented towards results‘.
The 2025 edition once again promises a series of exclusive events aimed at promoting contacts within the charter community, including the exhibitors’ gala evening and the Yacht Party Night. High-level entertainment is also in store, including the Superyacht Chefs’ Competition, which will allow visitors to savour the best of luxury yachting with dishes of excellence prepared by professionals, some of whom are of stellar renown.
The theme of the competition is ‘Wellbeing on a Plate’ and the chefs will be preparing a brunch based on healthy ingredients, enhancing their flavour. At the same time, the Tablescaping Competition will be held, with stewards and hostesses busy studying a setting to complement the chefs’ dishes, based on the colour jade, a shade that pays homage to the year of the show. The team will be judged on the accuracy of the mise en place and attention to detail.
Myba 2025 will also see the return of the All Hands On Deck Competition, designed to showcase the ingenuity and creativity of the crew in entertaining guests when weather and sea conditions are not favourable.
