The collaboration between North Sails and Ferrari Hypersail extends beyond the realm of competition. Following the multi-year agreement that made North Sails the team’s official partner for sails and technical apparel, the North Sails for Ferrari Hypersail Replica Collection is now available: a line that brings some of the expertise developed on the 100-foot ocean-going monohull to everyday apparel.
At the heart of the project is Ferrari Hypersail, the 30-meter flying boat currently under construction with the ambitious goal of setting the record for sailing around the world. The project is led by sailor Enrico Voltolini, and the first crew members announced include Giulia Conti and Shannon Falcone.
The new collection was born right here in this research lab. North Sails technicians and Ferrari Hypersail aerodynamic engineers worked on materials, protection, and fit, transforming solutions originally designed for sailing into garments suitable for everyday use as well. It’s no coincidence that the collection’s photo shoot took place at the Ferrari Wind Tunnel in Maranello, one of the iconic landmarks of the Prancing Horse’s aerodynamic research.

GP Aero Jacket 2.0 Hypersail
Among the collection’s key pieces is the GP Aero Jacket 2.0 Hypersail , which brings a construction designed to offer protection and freedom of movement to the urban wardrobe.
The jacket features a three-layer heat-sealed construction combined with a 10K waterproof membrane. The 4-way stretch fabric helps keep the jacket slim while ensuring freedom of movement and a comfortable fit.
It is, therefore, a technical garment designed to handle changing conditions, while still maintaining a style suitable for everyday wear.

Sailor Jacket Hypersail
With the Sailor Jacket Hypersail, North Sails reinterprets one of the most recognisable models in its repertoire, integrating it with the solutions developed around the Hypersail project.
Made from 100% recycled fabric, the jacket offers 10K waterproofing and features fully taped seams to enhance protection against the elements.
The result retains the character of the traditional sailor jacket but combines it with a more contemporary design and the technology developed through the collaboration with Ferrari Hypersail. A garment designed for both outdoor adventures and everyday life.

Nautex Softshell Jacket
The third option is the Nautex Softshell Jacket, designed to combine protection and comfort in a variety of weather conditions.
The jacket is made of recycled softshell and is breathable, windproof, and water-repellent. Rounding out the features are a detachable storm hood and waterproof zippers, designed to enhance protection when outdoor conditions become more challenging.
The design is also intended to promote thermoregulation, allowing it to adapt to different usage situations.
