Oceanco delivers two Landmark 111m Superyachts

Dutch shipyard Oceanco has marked a significant milestone with the delivery of two groundbreaking 111-meter superyachts—DreAMBoat and Leviathan—each representing distinct yet complementary visions for the future of large-scale yacht building. While differing in philosophy and onboard experience, both projects share a common thread: an unprecedented level of collaboration between the shipyard, designers, technical partners, and highly engaged owners.

DreAMBoat: A Record-Pace Build Defined by Efficiency and Shared Vision

Delivered in November 2025, DreAMBoat—previously known as Project Y726—stands out as one of Oceanco’s most efficient custom builds to date, completed in a record time of just four years from the first discussions in late 2021. At 111 meters and 4,550 GT, she is among the largest yachts ever constructed by the shipyard.

DreAMBoat

Designed by Espen Øino International with interiors by Mark Berryman Design, the yacht places emphasis on generous guest spaces, family-focused amenities, and extensive glazing that maximizes natural light. Fitted with a winter garden, outdoor cinema, owner’s deck, beach-club lounge, spa, and even a sun-deck golf simulator, DreAMBoat reflects an intimate dialogue between the owner and the yard.

The project also pioneers sustainable innovation. With support from the owner, Oceanco developed a first-of-its-kind Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) tool, jointly created with Royal Haskoning, enabling data-driven decisions to reduce the yacht’s environmental footprint. A battery system for peak-shaving and the use of natural-waste interior finishes further demonstrate this new approach.

Leviathan: A Collaborative Blueprint for the Future of Yacht Design

Delivered alongside DreAMBoat, Oceanco’s Leviathan—formerly Project Y722—embodies a radically different philosophy centered on teamwork, ergonomics, and operational wellbeing. Also measuring 111 meters, the diesel-electric yacht is the product of close cooperation between the owner, Gabe Newell, Oceanco’s internal design studio, Lateral, YTMC, Y.CO, and a wide network of specialist suppliers.

Leviathan

Engineered for comfort and seakeeping, Leviathan integrates advanced hull optimization, technical-platform refinement, and noise- and vibration-reduction measures. Oceanco CEO Marcel Onkenhout describes her as “the most comfortable yacht ever designed, built, and delivered by Oceanco.”

The project’s open-door ethos is symbolized by a glass panel engraved with the names of nearly 3,000 contributors—a tribute to the collaborative spirit that defined the build. For Newell, the process was as meaningful as the finished vessel. From an initial sketch, the yacht evolved through constant dialogue and a willingness to challenge convention.

A Defining Moment for Oceanco

Together, DreAMBoat and Leviathan underscore Oceanco’s growing commitment to transparent collaboration, innovative engineering, and future-focused sustainability. One project pushed the limits of build efficiency, while the other reimagined the human and operational dynamics of life at sea. Both demonstrate how a unified creative process between owner and shipyard can lead to superyachts that are not only technologically advanced but deeply personal.
