Building on a long-standing partnership that began over 30 years ago, Omega is supporting Emirates Team New Zealand as it seeks to defend its title once again in the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup.
The partnership between Omega and Emirates Team New Zealand began at the 1995 America’s Cup. Based on shared values of precision, innovation and a passion for the ocean, the partnership was perfectly timed: that very year, Team New Zealand won the trophy. This was followed by further historic victories in 2000, 2017, 2021 and 2024. Throughout all these campaigns, the distinctive red bows bearing the OMEGA logo have been a constant feature on Emirates Team New Zealand’s boats.

Emirates Team New Zealand is now aiming to win the iconic sailing trophy for the fourth consecutive time and for the sixth time in its history. The 38th Louis Vuitton America’s Cup will take place in 2027 in Naples: it will be the first time the competition has been held in Italy. Following its last victory in 2024, Emirates Team New Zealand will assume the role of Defender and compete against the winner of the Louis Vuitton Cup in a ‘best-of-seven’ format, known as ‘The Match’.
Raynald Aeschlimann, President and CEO of Omega, said: “Emirates Team New Zealand continues to inspire us with the perseverance and technical excellence of its sailing performances. It is an honour to once again support the team in its quest to win sailing’s most prestigious trophy. Our partnership has remained strong over time: the journey of two partners united by the same determination to succeed.”

Emirates Team New Zealand CEO Grant Dalton said: “We are proud to continue our association with an iconic brand like Omega for the 38th America’s Cup in Naples in 2027. For over 30 years, Omega has been a partner dedicated to precision: it has supported our team, contributing significantly to the success of all five of our America’s Cup victories.”
A series of preliminary races will take place ahead of the start of this edition on 21 May 2026 in Cagliari, Sardinia. This marks the first preview of the on-water racing featuring AC40 monohulls equipped with foils, capable of reaching speeds of up to 50 knots.

In addition to supporting the entire Emirates Team New Zealand crew, Omega also supports its family of individual sailing ambassadors, including Blair Tuke of Emirates Team New Zealand who, together with the whole team, contributed to the consecutive America’s Cup triumphs in 2017, 2021 and 2024.
Carrying on the brand’s sailing tradition and supporting Emirates Team New Zealand, OMEGA will be the Official Timekeeper of the Louis Vuitton 38th America’s Cup. In addition to the main competitions, this role will cover the entire America’s Cup programme, including the return of the Women’s America’s Cup and the Youth America’s Cup.
