Oyster C60 (20 m)—here is the first catamaran from Oyster Yachts

Oyster Yachts, a British shipyard renowned worldwide for its high-end bluewater sailboats, is officially unveiling its first catamaran at the 2026 Cannes Yachting Festival . It is called the Oyster C60, measures 19.42 meters in length and 9.35 meters in beam , and is the result of a collaboration between the shipyard and the naval architecture firm Berret-Racoupeau.

The debut of this model marks a strategic evolution for the brand, which is thus applying its decades of experience in monohull construction to the multihull segment, a segment that is growing in popularity in the Mediterranean as well.

The new 60-foot yacht is the result of over a year of market analysis and direct consultations with current and potential customers by Oyster Yachts, which is increasingly seeking hull designs characterized by greater stability, spacious interiors, and onboard comfort, without sacrificing its focus on longer and more adventurous cruises.

Company executives, through CEO Stefan Zimmermann Zschocke, emphasized that the Oyster C60 was designed to offer a new option both to existing loyal owners and to a segment of seafarers who prefer multihull configurations.

“We’ve always evolved by listening to our shipowners, ”says CEO Stefan Zschocke, “ We’ve seen some of them switch to multihulls as their lives and ambitions have changed; at the same time, we’ve garnered interest from potential customers who are drawn to the Oyster brand but see the catamaran as the ideal boat for their needs. The Oyster C60 represents an opportunity to meet this demand without compromising on what has defined Oyster Yachts since its founding. We’ve drawn on this wealth of knowledge by applying it to a boat designed from the ground up to maximize the advantages of a multihull. It offers another option for our current owners, while also opening the doors of the Oyster family to sailors who may not have previously considered the brand.“.

The exteriors

The most distinctive element of the Oyster C60 is the stern, characterised by fold-down bathing platforms and a centrally positioned tender lifting system that effectively help create a large terrace in contact with the water.

The main salon opens onto the aft cockpit, creating a seamless space that features a built-in bar area. At the bow, there is a sheltered lounge with sofas, while the flybridge houses both the helm station and spacious areas for relaxation.

Interiors

The interiors The Oyster C60’s design ensures the right level of privacy for the owner’s suite and the areas designated for guests and crew. The master cabin, located in the center of the starboard hull, features classic three-panel windows Seascape, designed to maximize natural light and views of the outdoors. The layout includes up to three guest cabins with private bathrooms and crew quarters in the bow. From a structural standpoint, the height of the connecting deck above the waterline reaches one meter above sea level—a key factor in limiting the impact of larger waves and ensuring safety during long cruises.

What does Oyster Yachts offer boat owners?

As with all models in the lineup, the Oyster C60 is also part of the global service and support program dedicated to Oyster owners. Those who choose this catamaran will have access to the international service network, after-sales services, and the Bluewater Academy, as well as the opportunity to participate in exclusive initiatives and events such as the Oyster World Rally.

In preparation for its entry into the multihull market, the shipyard has also developed specific training programs designed to provide owners with the skills needed to operate and technically manage a catamaran during offshore sailing.

Today, Oyster Yachts builds monohull sailing yachts ranging from 13 to 37 meters in length, all designed for sailors and owners who are focused on long-range cruising and seek the high standards of quality, comfort, and craftsmanship that have always been the hallmark of this British shipyard.

With the Oyster C60, the lineup expands for the first time to include a multihull model, offering current Oyster owners the opportunity to switch to a catamaran without giving up their preferred brand. At the same time, the new model serves as an entry point for a new segment of customers who, until now, had not considered the option of choosing a monohull yacht.
