Pardo 43: an icon evolves without compromise

Seven years after its debut, the Pardo 43 returns in a new guise. This is not a revolution but a deliberate evolution: a refined reworking of lines, details and solutions that preserves the identity which made it one of the most admired luxury walkarounds. Since its launch in 2017, more than 300 units have been sold, turning the model into a true emblem of Cantiere del Pardo. Today that legacy continues with a new generation, ready to redefine the very idea of freedom at sea.

“The Pardo 43 was born from a clear vision: to create a walkaround that could combine performance, elegance and comfort in a way no one had seen before,” recalls Gigi Servidati, President of Cantiere del Pardo. “Its success proved that vision right. But success has never meant standing still. This new version is not about changing course, but about refining what was already iconic.”

That same philosophy is echoed by Marcello Veronesi, CEO of the yard: “When we launched the original Pardo 43 in 2017, it immediately became a bestseller, setting the position of the brand in the market. Today, after listening to our owners, we have strengthened that DNA with fresh and functional touches. It’s a strategic step forward — faithful to our identity, but anticipating tomorrow’s expectations.”

The new Pardo 43 is the result of a collaboration between Nauta Design, signing the interiors for the first time, and Zuccheri Yacht Design, responsible for naval architecture and exterior styling. The dialogue between the two studios has produced a yacht that respects the spirit of the original while elevating every element with subtle yet decisive changes.

On the outside, new hull windows — absent in the original — flood the interiors with natural light. The sunpads have been redesigned, as have the T-top and external galley. Small but striking design choices stand out: the air intakes have been moved outside and seamlessly integrated into the topsides, while the descending sheer line lends a sportier silhouette. The hull geometry has been reworked for an even smoother, more elegant profile.

Outdoor living has always been central to the 43, and now it is enhanced even further. The dashboard has been completely rethought, featuring a new automation interface developed with Garmin and tailored to Pardo Yachts. At the bow, a forward-facing bench complements the sunbathing area, encouraging social moments at sea. At the stern, the deeper sunpad — inspired by the GT52 and styled with a lighter touch — creates more room for relaxation. The outdoor galley offers extra storage and workspace, while the hardtop supports, structurally bonded to the tempered-glass windshield, add both rigidity and a modern edge to the yacht’s silhouette. Invisible steps, integrated storage in the bulwarks, and a retractable hatch system ensure freedom of movement and an uncluttered deck.

Comfort, too, has been taken up a notch. The Dometic air conditioning system now extends beyond the interiors to serve the cockpit and even the bathroom. Optional stabilizers, Seakeeper or Quick, guarantee a smoother ride. For those who need to stay connected, Starlink brings satellite-based high-speed internet on board, even in remote waters. For the first time, owners can also choose between inboard Volvo Penta IPS drives — 500 as standard, with 600 and 650 as options — or a triple Mercury outboard configuration, either V10 400 hp or V12 600 hp each. Every propulsion option is matched to a dedicated hull design, ensuring optimized handling, efficiency and comfort.

Practicality has not been overlooked. The Pardo 43 now features an automatic bathing ladder, solar panels for self-charging, an extended windshield for better side protection and a redesigned bow roller. Larger fuel and freshwater tanks allow for longer cruising without frequent stops. A longer gangway simplifies boarding from the dock, while upgraded underwater lighting creates a refined evening atmosphere at anchor.

Below deck, the Pardo 43 offers two layout choices: an aft twin cabin with a fixed forward V-berth and ensuite, or a forward dinette that converts into a double bed. The interiors are cleaner and more stylish thanks to new fabric ceiling panels that reduce visible structures. Wood finishes and upgraded shades enhance the sense of refinement, while ambient lighting adds atmosphere. The aft cabin is now roomier, with 80 mm of extra headroom, making it feel airier and more inviting. Entertainment is provided by a 32-inch TV, and clever storage niches keep everything in order.

Construction remains faithful to the shipyard’s proven methods: vinylester resin-infusion, foam sandwich laminates in the deck and topsides, and carbon reinforcement. The T-top itself is built entirely in carbon fibre, ensuring strength and lightness.

The new Pardo 43 stays true to the legacy of its predecessor, showing how an icon can evolve without losing its soul. It represents a balance between heritage and vision, experience and passion. A day cruiser that can easily become a cruising yacht, blending performance, elegance and liveability in a way that remains unique. More than a boat, it is the evolution of an idea of the sea — one that continues to set benchmarks and inspire the next generation of walkarounds.
