AMAALA Yacht Club and We Are Foiling announce a strategic partnership with the aim of making AMAALA a new international destination of choice for foiling and high-performance water sports.
The agreement, conceived with a long-term perspective, represents the first step in a collaboration that integrates elite sports, innovation and territorial development.
As part of the agreement, AMAALA Yacht Club will support the Foiling Awards by sponsoring the Female Sailor, Male Sailor and Foiling Team categories of the 9th edition, which will conclude on 17 March 2026 in Genoa during the World Foiling Congress (17–18 March).
The partnership also includes a one-week prize experience at AMAALA for the winners.
The collaboration will also extend to Foiling Week, the first and only global event entirely dedicated to foiling boats, their sailors, designers and builders. A “Special Event” of the World Sailing Federation since 2021, the thirteenth edition of Foiling Week will take place from 27 June to 5 July 2026 in Malcesine, on Lake Garda, and will bring together AMAALA and Malcesine, two destinations united by their focus on innovation, high-performance sailing and excellent sporting facilities.

An invitation-only foiling event is also planned at AMAALA in December 2026, conceived as an exclusive, high-level event. The format and participants will be announced in the coming months.
The partnership is part of the broader We Are Foiling ecosystem, which includes The Foiling Organisation, Foiling Week, Foiling Awards and Foiling Film Festival. An international platform focused on destination development through sport.
Adrian Peet, General Manager of AMAALA Yacht Club, said: ‘Foiling represents the future of high-performance sailing, where sport, technology and design come together. This partnership is not about a single event, but about building AMAALA over time as a global hub for innovation-driven sailing. We are creating an ecosystem capable of attracting the best international sailors, designers and innovators to the Red Sea.’
Luca Rizzotti, Head of We Are Foiling, commented: ‘The Foiling Awards and Foiling Week were created to go beyond competition and become drivers of development, innovation and community growth. The collaboration with AMAALA confirms the role of foiling as a strategic lever for high value-added international destination marketing.’
