Richard Mille and Monaco Yacht Show, a winning combination!

The entry onto the scene of Richard Mille as sponsor is among the many highlights that the 2022 edition of the Monaco Yacht Show brings.

Richard Mille Official Sponsor of the Monaco Yacht Show

Gaëlle Tallarida, Managing Director of Monaco Yacht Show says: “We are delighted to welcome Richard Mille as an official sponsor of the Monaco Yacht Show, starting 2022. This long-term contract reflects our shared commitment towards building a solid, trusting and long-lasting relationship between our two brands. We intend to accompany our customers on a journey filled with ultra-luxurious experiences, by immersing them in the world of yachting and by helping them discover Richard Mille’s characteristic avant-garde approach to luxury watchmaking.”

A logical choice

A choice that is not random and follows a precise logic. The link between the time industry and the sea is not a recent discovery. On the contrary, the marine element has made an important contribution to the evolution of the world of hands, just think of the role and importance of marine chronometers. This link was further strengthened in modern times when timepieces ended up on the wrists of explorers, divers and sailors, becoming a precious and reliable measuring instrument.

The sea in a nutshell has been an extraordinary testing ground for testing and studying new technical solutions to ensure maximum reliability even in the most extreme conditions. These are the ingredients behind the success that this type of timepiece continues to enjoy with the public. Not only that. To fuel interest and keep the level of attention high are the choices made by many watch manufacturers to associate their names with fascinating sailing regattas, with sportsmen and women engaged in measuring themselves against the waves and the abyss, and even Richard Mille’s choice to associate the brand with an event such as the Monaco Yacht Show.

Richard Mille, unique pieces

The reasons behind this choice are justified in the light of the importance that this exhibition has acquired in the panorama of boat shows, becoming the world’s reference point for the superyacht sector. Unique pieces of the nautical industry just as unique are the timepieces that have always distinguished the watchmaking Maison’s offer.

We are only at the beginning of a long and meaningful partnership with the Monaco Yacht Show and look forward to working collaboratively over the coming years to define the next chapter in the history of this iconic show.”

A choice that also gives added value to the Monaco Yacht Show, which has always been very sensitive to the theme of watchmaking, in the light of the space reserved every two years for Only Watch, an initiative in which all the most important watchmaking brands are involved, offering unique pieces for a charity auction, the proceeds of which serve to finance the research activities carried out by the Monaco Association against Muscular Dystrophy.

Taking a closer look, the link between Richard Mille and the sea is also reflected in other initiatives in which the Swiss maison is at the forefront. Starting, for example, with Les Voiles de St. Barth, a regatta that has become a real reference in the panorama of sailing events held in the Caribbean. Not to mention the product, which in this case translates into references designed to offer important support for those who love racing. Just like the RM 032 Voiles de Saint Barth, a highly technical creation capable of withstanding a pressure of 30 atmospheres (300 metres) according to the ISO 6425 standard for diving watches.
