It is called Riva Volare and represents an innovative customised design concept for Flexjet’s Gulfstream G650 and Sikorsky S-76 helicopter, inspired by the timeless elegance of Riva motorboats, a brand that is part of the prestigious Ferretti Group portfolio.
The project, presented by Flexjet and Ferretti Group on 26 June at Milan Linate Airport, is an exclusive interior design for Flexjet jets and is the result of a partnership launched in May 2024, combining a passion for performance, craftsmanship and refined design. ‘Riva is an expression of elegance that infuses class and exclusivity into every project, at sea and on land, and now also at high altitude,’ said Alberto Galassi, CEO of Ferretti Group. ‘And it is another result of our collaboration with Flexjet, a brand with which we share the goal of raising the quality standards we offer our customers. Contemplating the sky and clouds, immersed in the world of Riva, is an experience of great beauty and satisfaction.’
Riva Volare, part of the Flexjet range with luxurious, custom-designed LXi Cabin Collection™ interiors, will be on board a Gulfstream G650, which can accommodate up to 12-15 passengers and fly for up to 14-16 hours, connecting cities such as New York and Tokyo, London, Singapore or Milan.
‘For us, the design of Riva Volare is not just about aesthetics, but a fundamental part of the high-end experience we offer,’ This collaboration represents our commitment to creating memorable journeys for high net worth clients. Flexjet is now in its 30th year of operation, and Riva Volare celebrates a timeless style icon, but also a statement of the direction we are taking, setting the standard for a modern luxury brand.”
The new design will also feature on two Flexjet Sikorsky S-76 helicopters, one in Florida and the other based in Milan, operating in Italy and on the French Riviera, responding to growing demand for summer flights. Ferretti Group customers will have privileged access to these services. This synergy reflects the growth of the company’s helicopter division in continental Europe and adds to the service already in place in London, New York, Florida and the Bahamas.
The design uses materials, patterns and colours inspired by the lines of Riva motorboats, with details reminiscent of the iconic Aquarama of the 1960s and the modern elegance of the Aquariva. Every element of the design, from the colours to the textures, evokes the timeless appeal of the Italian brand, enriching the on-board experience with luxury details such as Riva glasses, porcelain and silverware, presented by Red Label Academy assistants.
