Royal Huisman has let slip a few hints regarding the Lotus project.
The project spans two craft, one sailing and the other motor-powered, both aiming to bridge the gap between the two worlds. The design was placed in the capable hands of the ThirtyC design studio and Dyskra Naval Architects.
The sailer is an 88-metre with a Dyna Rig while the motor craft will be a 70-metre shadow yacht.
These are not two distinct models but a single project crafted for the kind of uncompromising owner that wants an ultra-high tech sailer combined with the comfort of an ever-available shadow vessel.
The motoryacht is currently in build on the yard’s slips, while Dyskra Naval Architects is designing and engineering the easy sailing sail plan for the mother ship.

Sembra disegnato da un bambino di 10 anni….sicuramente un bambino lo farebbe meglio.
E poi con queste prue contro mare….sembra una barca Fenicia….in 3000 anni qualche miglioria e’m stata fatta.
Io personalmente non gli darei neanche il RINA.
Il progettista o l architetto all’ interno avranno fatto meraviglie e studi e spazi favolosi.
Ma fuori sembra che non sono mai andati per mare.
Sembra fatta per il lago….non per il mare.
Non voglio offendere nessuno….amo le barche ed il mare…..ma vedere delle linee cosi’ mi fa inorridire: ripeto non voglio offendere nessuno…ma prendetela come una critica costruttiva.
Mi permetto di scrivere….in quanto abituato ad andare ad oltre 85mph….ed anche con mare forza 3….so cosa significa il mare formato…..con una prua cosi???
