Frontier is a 99m explorer yacht concept recently unveiled by Sam Sorgiovanni Design. Sporting an imposing ice-breaker-certified reverse bow, the yacht marries the severity of an explorer with a light design.
While the aft decks are all extremely technical, the waterlines and superstructure design are a nod to the latest yacht design trends, proving that a ‘real’ explorer doesn’t necessary have to renege on the elegance, lightness of form or comfort of a megayacht.
The observatory deck has an open air bar and a hydromassage tub. Other amenities include a helipad/dance floor, pool, games room, home cinema, a dining area for 20, and quarters for 34 crew.
The large split-level beach club aft has a bar, relaxation area, swim platform, massage room, sauna and a second hydromassage tub. Six two-berth cabins lie on the lower deck while the roomy master suite with its saloon, private office and direct access to the pool above is on the upper deck For the décor, Sorgiovanni has selected a range of sustainable natural materials such as egg shells, and seeds and woods sourced from fast-growing plants. Twin diesels will yield a maximum 20-knot speed.
