Sanlorenzo presented the world premiere of the new 74Steel, a masterpiece of engineering and design that marks a turning point in the history of the shipyard. At 74 metres and approximately 1,900 GT, it is the largest yacht ever built by Sanlorenzo: a perfect fusion of power, harmony and refinement.

Made of steel and aluminium and equipped with diesel-electric propulsion, the 74Steel inaugurates a new dimension of navigation, where the most advanced technology meets Italian craftsmanship.

Three units have already been sold and a fourth is under negotiation even before the launch, confirming the success of a project that combines innovation and extreme customisation.

The elegance of thought, the power of innovation
‘The 74Steel represents our most ambitious project,’ says Massimo Perotti, President and CEO of Sanlorenzo. ‘It is not only our flagship, but the synthesis of the values that have always guided us: elegance, sobriety and the authentic beauty of life at sea.’

With a pre-engineered technical platform, the 74Steel offers cutting-edge structural solutions while maintaining the bespoke soul that distinguishes every Sanlorenzo yacht. Each model is a unique work of art, modelled around its owner with a freedom of customisation that never compromises engineering integrity.

Owners have chosen different layouts and bow configurations, expressing a made-to-measure concept that takes nautical design to a new level.

Exterior design: balance between power and grace
Designed by Zuccon International Project, the exterior design expresses a new architectural harmony, where fluid lines and bold proportions interact with the strength of steel. The vertical bow and sloping stern emphasise the dynamic link between aesthetics and functionality, while the continuous surfaces create a contemporary and timeless visual language.

‘With the 74Steel, we have explored a new dimension,’ explains architect Bernardo Zuccon. ‘It is the ultimate expression of our quest for balance between form and function, a project that translates Sanlorenzo’s vision on a monumental scale.’

Interiors: beauty built around the owner
The interior design of the first unit, by Francesco Paszkowski in collaboration with Margherita Casprini, interprets elegance through soft lines and precious materials. Sculptural curves, organically shaped carpets and a careful choice of wood essences create a warm and sophisticated atmosphere.

Every detail is designed for the onboard experience: salons flooded with natural light, unobstructed views of the horizon and spaces that flow seamlessly into one another, redefining the relationship between architecture and the sea.

‘The owner paid great attention to the interiors,’ says Paszkowski. ‘Our goal was to translate his needs into spaces of refined elegance and functionality, while keeping Sanlorenzo’s aesthetic DNA intact.’

Invisible technology, absolute comfort
The diesel-electric propulsion system, developed in collaboration with Siemens Energy, allows for maximum efficiency and design freedom, transforming technical spaces into areas dedicated to wellness and relaxation.

Six Volvo Penta – Mase variable speed generators power two Schottel E-Pods of 1,000 kW each, with 1.5 MWh LEHMANN COBRA batteries ensuring quiet and sustainable performance.
The VAV (Variable Air Volume) air conditioning system optimises the temperature and air flow in every room, ensuring constant comfort and maximum energy efficiency.

An unprecedented onboard experience
Each deck of the 74Steel is designed to offer a unique sensory experience.
The sun deck features lounge areas, hot tubs and outdoor dining areas; the owner’s deck, the true heart of the yacht, offers 300 m² of space dedicated to privacy and relaxation, with panoramic terraces and a suite overlooking the horizon.

The spacious and bright beach club extends for almost 290 m² at sea level, with a spa, gym, swimming pool and wellness areas that open directly onto the water. A place designed to experience the sea naturally, in a constant dialogue between interior and exterior.

The symbol of a new era
With 1,900 GT, the 74Steel is not only the largest boat ever built by Sanlorenzo, but also a milestone in the shipyard’s journey towards the future.

Its scale is not excessive, but a new measure of elegance: one that arises from the balance between innovation, architectural purity and sustainable vision.
The 74Steel thus embodies the direction that Sanlorenzo has chosen to follow: a future in which technology and beauty remain inseparable.
