Seaquip 2026: the first edition comes to a close

Three days of meetings, technology and networking for the Mediterranean Yacht & Marine Equipment Trade Fair. Strong international participation and already looking forward to the next edition.

Seaquip 2026 – Mediterranean Yacht & Marine Equipment Trade Fair, the new B2B event dedicated to accessories and components for the nautical sector, ended with significant participation. For three days, Milan hosted companies, stakeholders and professionals from the main yachting markets, confirming international interest in this new trade fair format.

Exhibitors were very satisfied, emphasising how an important location such as Milan attracted many customers, both old and new.
The event alternated between exhibitions, technical presentations, networking meetings, conferences and StandOut Speeches, culminating in a final networking session in the Deck Area. The direct comparison between supply and demand, together with the presentation of new technological solutions, characterised the entire event and laid the foundations for the future development of the fair.

According to Matteo Cecada, Chief Technical & Operations Officer of Ferretti Group, the positioning in the trade fair calendar is one of the most interesting elements of the event: “the positioning at the beginning of March, in a nautical year already full of events, is certainly one of Seaquip’s strengths. In addition, the digitalisation of the organisation speeds up contacts between professionals. During the event, I met suppliers that I had not had the opportunity to see at other trade fairs.‘

Tiziano Giennessi, Technical Office Coordinator at Cantieri di Pisa, also emphasises the technical value of the event:

’Seaquip was an important opportunity to meet with various suppliers. I found the fair to be very technically oriented; as an architect, I believe that in the future there could also be an area more dedicated to furnishings.”

For international exhibitors, the event already represents an investment for the future. Jans Greve, owner of the Dutch company STC Trade – which specialises in the design and manufacture of plastic filters for seawater – has confirmed his participation in the next edition: ‘This fair has allowed us to make several interesting new contacts. I hope it continues to grow and attract an even wider audience, because it has great potential. I also appreciated the organisation and the exhibition spaces, which were spacious and comfortable.’

Panel Regeneration of carbon fibre composites

The conference programme explored some of the most current issues in the sector.

The first panel, ‘Digital marketing in yachting: how to create memorable experiences along the customer journey’, analysed the evolution of communication in the nautical sector. Moderated by journalist and IED lecturer Luca Sordelli, the meeting addressed the theme of experiential storytelling in yachting and the growing role of digital technology in brand narration, with a comparison between traditional media, influencers and marketing strategies applied to other industrial sectors.

Panel From ambition to implementation

The second panel, ‘From ambition to realisation:
how Italian excellence is shaping the path towards responsible interiors,’ focused on innovation in interiors and the sustainability of materials. Participants in the debate included Stefano De Vivo, Simona Parravicini and Michele Dragoni, among others.
