The Greenline 42 makes its world debut at Boot

It’s being hailed as the vessel that ushers in a new era in sustainable sailing, making its world debut at Boot, which opens in Düsseldorf on January 17th. This is the new Greenline 42 from the Slovenian shipyard Greenline Yachts, a benchmark for its refined yet absolutely environmentally friendly vessels since its international debut in 2009 with the Greenline 33, the world’s first truly hybrid motoryacht.

A complete range dedicated to sustainability

More space, more energy autonomy, and more freedom to cruise in silence. These are the qualities of the Greenline 42, designed by Marco Casali – Too Design and engineered by Micad, with a length of 13.50 meters and a maximum beam of 4.30 meters. The Greenline 42 is part of the Greenline Yachts collection, which includes nine models: the 39 and 40, in the new 42 series, the 45 and 48, both in Coupe and Fly versions, and the flagship Greenline 58, measuring 18.290 meters, also in Coupe and Fly versions.

The 6G HDrive system for the new Greenline 42

The new Greenline 42, like all models of Greenline Yachts, is available with diesel engines (two 250 hp units) and a hybrid version with the diesel engines paired with two 22 kW electric motors. The Greenline 42 is equipped with the 6G HDrive system. This sixth-generation hybrid system developed by Greenline Yachts combines more efficient electric motors, higher-capacity lithium batteries, and management software that optimizes energy consumption across all systems. Onboard power is provided by 10 430 W solar panels that provide 230 V and complete energy autonomy at anchor, being able to power all onboard systems (refrigerator, lighting, etc.) without the need for a generator.

A cockpit to enjoy

The outdoor spaces are uniquely organized. The aft area can be configured with a fixed swim platform and a classic cockpit with a dining area, or with a transom that opens entirely to the sea and features removable furniture. At the bow of the main deck, in front of the windshield, is a large forward-facing sundeck.

The two solutions for the transom: in the “classic” version with a furnished dining area (on top) or completely free and with the transom opening onto the sea.

Maximum Interior Customization

The highly customizable interiors are organized with the galley and dining/dinette area to port of the cockpit entrance, and the helm station to starboard. On the lower deck, the layout options include a large master cabin forward, a double cabin amidships with two cabins served by a bathroom, or a private bathroom for each cabin.

The Greenline 42’s living area features large windows.

Sustainable shipyard and boats

Like all Greenline yachts, the new Greenline 42 is built with the utmost attention to sustainability, both in its production processes (Greenline yachts are built using vacuum technology to eliminate waste) and in the use of eco-friendly materials, such as recycled composites and sustainable wood. All with a focus on reuse. For example, waste wood is transformed into pellets for heating, while the insulating foam is reused for domestic use. Furthermore, Greenline Yachts’ facilities use renewable energy.
