The Italian Sea Group has delivered the first Admiral Panorama 50, and with it a precise design thesis: semi-custom is not a compromise, but an exercise in spatial engineering. The first unit of Admiral‘s new line, fresh out of the Marina di Carrara shipyard, packs into 50 metres and 499 GT layout solutions the market is used to seeing on considerably larger platforms. Her official debut is set for the Monaco Yacht Show 2026.
A platform, not a compromise
The formula is a familiar one: steel hull and aluminium superstructure, 50 metres in overall length, a maximum beam of 8.9 metres, and a gross tonnage that stops deliberately short of the 500 GT threshold. But it is in how those numbers are put to work that the project, designed by Piredda & Partners in collaboration with the Admiral Centro Stile, distances itself from semi-custom understood as a catalogue of variants. Smart Yachts accompanied the relationship with the owner from the initial negotiations through to delivery, confirming a process that remains bespoke even when the platform is standardised.
The onboard architecture extends across four decks and accommodates up to twelve guests in seven cabins. The owner’s suite occupies the upper deck and enjoys direct, exclusive access to the generous forward exterior area, conceived as a genuine private terrace over the sea, as well as to a dedicated lounge with a private office. The main deck is completed by the salon and four guest cabins: a far from obvious layout choice at this size, where guests are traditionally accommodated on the lower deck.
The “big boat” solution
It is precisely on the lower deck that the Panorama 50 plays its most interesting card: the two aft guest cabins are reached via a corridor that passes through the engine room, a configuration normally reserved for yachts of a larger size. It is the detail that best captures the project’s approach: recovering volume and rationalising the distribution of space where, on a 50-metre yacht, every square metre counts double.
The self-supporting guest staircase answers to the same logic, conceived as an element that is at once structural and architectural, creating visual continuity between the decks. Outside, the fold-down bulwarks aft on the main deck expand the walkable surface of the beach area, reinforcing that direct dialogue with the sea which has become the obligatory signature of contemporary design — here grafted onto a platform conceived to replicate it in series.
Towards Monaco

Ahead of September’s Monegasque showcase, the first unit of the Panorama line is ready for her maiden season in the Mediterranean. It will be there, on the quayside at Port Hercule, that the market can measure how well the platform’s promise — the space of a larger yacht, with the lead times and reliability of series production — holds up to the test of today’s owners.
