Columbus Crossover

Columbus Crossover: the first one in 2024

The first will be ready for delivery in spring of 2024. A two-year wait right now really is something of a miracle. Featuring a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the yacht has exteriors and naval architecture by Sergio Cutolo’s Hydro Tec while the interiors are by Francesco Guida. This new project centres around the need to accommodate large tenders on a small yacht whilst delivering the now sought-after private island vibe with everything holiday-oriented in one place.

Muscular lines

The exteriors are clothed in muscular modern lines with plenty of taut, angular surfaces. The volumes are concentrated in the bow area in typical Crossover style. The displacement hull has a bulbous bow and flat, flared aft sections. Francesco Guida’s fresh, modern interiors are inspired by exploration. This yacht can accommodate tenders of up to 8m and 2.5 tonnes on its deck. Propulsion comes via twin 970 kW Caterpillar C 32s that yield a top speed of 14.5 knots. The 40m also has a range in excess of 4,000nm.
