The Top Ten of the 65th Genoa International Boat Show

“The 2024 final report for the recreational boating industry in Italy are positive: the industrial sector’s turnover grew by 3.2%, reaching an all-time high of 8.60 billion euros.” This was stated by Piero Formenti, president of Confindustria Nautica, at the opening of the presentation of the new edition of Nautica in Cifre – Log, the only recognized statistical report in the sector. The presentation took place on the eve of the opening of the 65th Genoa International Boat Show, which from September 18th to 24th once again has placed Genoa at the center of the maritime world. This edition displayed a parade of over 1,000 boats, including 23 new shipyards, the participation of companies and businesses from 45 countries, and a long list of new arrivals: 123 with 96 premieres.

But above all, with new exhibition spaces and the completion of the dock and the dock behind Pavilion B, the Nouvel Pavilion which, as always, on the upper floor hosts accessories, a sector which, like that of large yachts, is literally dominated by Made in Italy.

Numerous conferences and roundtables took place during the Show, starting with TechTrade Days 2025, a B2B format dedicated to the latest industry innovations, featuring over 400 brands of nautical accessories and components. And, as always, yacht design will be given a special spotlight with the sixth edition of the Design Innovation Award, with Walter De Silva, a Compasso d’Oro winner, as president of the jury.

The Top Ten

But, returning to the 1,000 boats on display and the multitude of accessories, here is our very own Top Ten of the 65th International Boat Show underway in Genoa.

Pirelli 47. The latest addition to SACS Tecnorib’s launch, the Pirelli 47 features a sporty, double-stepped hull designed by the Mannerfelt Design Team, renowned for its winning hulls on the most important powerboating circuits. The Grand Soleil 65 Performance was designed by Matteo Polli for naval architecture, Marco Lostuzzi for structural design, and Nauta Design for the general layout and deck design. The construction paid great attention to environmental aspects: the teak comes from a sustainable supply chain, the glass is laminated for better insulation, the composite lamination uses linen and eco-friendly resins, the paints are water-based, and the solar panels provide renewable energy.

EUREK-ART: the essence of luxury with handles by F.lli Razeto & Casareto. A collection of artistic handles handcrafted by Giangi Razeto, the company’s Head of Innovation and Design and a renowned artist, who, after years dedicated to researching solutions that combine technology, safety, and precious materials, has decided to return to the workshop.
