Vitruvius Yacht Design is pleased to reveal further details of one of its latest creations: a 52 meter Hybrid Motor Yacht currently under construction at Tankoa Yachts in Genoa, with a scheduled launch in early 2026.
This project represents a successful collaboration between Vitruvius Yacht Design, Tankoa Yachts, and acclaimed interior designer Francesca Muzio, founder of FM Architettura D’Interni.
Commissioned by a visionary and experienced couple with deep roots in both business and art, the project follows a clear brief: to create the most sophisticated and lifestyle-oriented yacht under 500 gross tons on the market today.
“From our first meeting, we were inspired by our clients’ fresh perspective and their passion for designing a truly personal life on the water,” says Philippe Briand, founder of Vitruvius Yacht Design. “They challenged us with questions that spurred innovation, and we responded with ideas that bring their vision to life.”
One of the biggest challenges of this project was identifying the optimal balance between the efficiency of the aluminum hull—while maintaining the elegance characteristic of Vitruvius—and creating a General Arrangement capable of including all the features for an uncompromised lifestyle, all within the 500 GT limit.
Vitruvius DNA: Efficiency Meets Elegance
True to its design philosophy, Vitruvius has engineered a highly efficient hull form and specified aluminum construction to maximize internal volume and optimize technical spaces.
The yacht features a hybrid propulsion system—combining mechanical and electric power—supported by a high-capacity battery bank, drastically reducing fossil fuel consumption.
At 52 meters in length, the vessel offers the space and amenities of a much larger yacht while remaining under the 500 GT threshold.
A New Standard for Outdoor Living
One of this yacht’s defining features is its focus on outdoor living, with 50% of the overall volume dedicated to open-air spaces and wellness areas.
Among the onboard features:
A full-beam aft gym opening onto a vast swim platform that transforms into a beach club, complete with folding terraces and a central Jacuzzi- The gym includes an infrared sauna, accessible from the main deck and the seaside.
A veranda-style lounge – a shaded, ventilated indoor-outdoor retreat designed for relaxed daytime living.
A panoramic lounge on the foredeck, offering the perfect observation point while underway.
Innovative, Airy Interior Space Design
The general arrangement of this yacht emphasizes fluidity, openness, and tranquility, aligning with the project’s focus on redefining onboard space.
The layout and interior design is born by the collaboration of Francesca Muzio of FM Architettura D’Interni and the Owner who had a clear and precise vision as to how the boat should look and function.
On the main deck, the traditional central spiral staircase has been replaced with a discreet transverse staircase, ensuring seamless flow between the main salon and dining area.
The dining room is an innovative spacethat includes Al Fresco seaside dining, a configuration that can be implemented with the push of a button, thus not requiring the assistance of the crew to open the lateral terrace.
The owner’s suite, located amidships, benefits from optimal stability and comfort at sea. It is the place of a structural balcony, thus allowing the Owner to simply slide a door to enjoy a morning coffee outside, without the need to call the crew for assistance.
On the lower deck, five guest cabins accommodate visitors – an exceptional feature for a yacht of this size and tonnage.
Launch in Sight
Already nearing completion, this yacht marks another milestone for Tankoa Yachts, known for its commitment to excellence and timely delivery.
“We are delighted with the collaboration among all parties—the owners, Francesca Muzio, Tankoa, and our own team at Vitruvius,” says Briand. “Together, we’ve created a vessel that combines cutting-edge efficiency with a deeply personal and luxurious onboard lifestyle.”
