Enrico Gobbi penned the ISA Yachts Continental 80

Enrico Gobbi penned two terraces in the center of the upper deck that create two real balconies overlooking the sea. It is one of the many and not just graphic elements that characterize the ISA Continental 80 that Enrico Gobbi, founder and head of Team for Design, is developing in his Venetian studio. A project that for Enrico Gobbi (here all the post about him) is one of the many that link his name to ISA Yachts, a brand of the Palumbo Superyachts Group.

An architectural yacht in the name of light

“I was looking for an element that was not purely aesthetic but also functional. And I wanted to create an architectural yacht, with clear lines “. This is how Enrico Gobbi sums up the Continental 80 which is based on an experienced naval platform on which the designer and his studio have intervened. Fields of intervention in addition to the exterior design, the layout of the main deck and upper decks and the organization of the outdoor spaces.

The result is strong lines that cut and emphasize the decks and a series of architectural elements such as the two balconies on the upper deck or the large windows on the bridge. Gobbi then intervened, for example, on the external floors as well as on the foredeck which now houses a real helicopter pad.

Enrico Gobbi penned a spectacular swimming pool overlooking the sea

To this are added highly spectacular elements such as the aft area of the Continental 80 which is a concentrate with the infinity pool closed aft by glass plates on the main deck or the underlying beach area with two side platforms that open onto the sea.

The upper deck dedicated to the owner, seven guest cabins on the lower deck and, in terms of materials, a large use of stainless steel that gives a modern touch to the profile and emphasizes windows and terraces, the other elements of the ISA Continental 80. A mega yacht that will be recognized not only for lines and proportions of volumes but for the two stylized chimneys that add charm and balance to the exterior design.
