Unveiled at the last Dubai International Boat Show, Amara is the new frontier for Dutch shipyard Oceanco.
The 120-metre Sam Sorgiovanni concept is more similar to a super-exclusive resort than a megayacht. Powerfully muscular exterior lines belie a holistic interior featuring natural woods and stone to create extremely relaxing sur- roundings.
Spread over four decks plus a sundeck, Amara is full of surprises, not least a waterfall that tumbles from the upper deck to the pool on the main deck, and a beach platform with a wellness area spanning a banya, hammam and 16-seater experiential cinema.
The owner’s quarters on the upper deck include a plungepool and 20-seater dining area. Amara’s other wow factors include a panoramic gym on her bridge deck, a climbing wall and water slides.
There are also two chillout areas or majilis where guests can gather. The one on the sun deck features a Tuareg-style tent
