A vast area of urban fabric for Paola Lenti Flagship

With the city of Milan, Paola Lenti has an intimate and consolidated relationship. And it is precisely in Milan, in the year in which the company celebrates thirty years in business, that Paola Lenti has decided to redevelop a vast area of urban fabric: 4,000 square metres within the Maciachini district, in Via Bovio 28, where a large industrial complex has been transformed into a bio-ecological architecture characterised by the aesthetic sensitivity and ethical attention that have become the company’s hallmarks.

The recovery of an entire urban area and its restitution to the city, respecting the architectural characteristics of the neighbourhood to which it belongs, are the expression of an entrepreneurial and design culture that fully reflects the values on which Paola Lenti’s philosophy is based and which can be summed up as “producing new beauty starting from what one has”.

Beyond the gaze

A space that, far from the usual and crowded fashion and design districts, represents a bold and conscious choice of value, an expression of Paola Lenti’s desire to offer the city a destination that looks beyond the traditional furniture shop and speaks to the citizenry, as well as to professionals in the sector.

A physical and conceptual place, whose spaces and activities gravitate around the key principles of beauty, wellbeing, culture, design, hospitality, Paola Lenti Milano is a laboratory of thought in constant movement, where the display of indoor and outdoor products dialogues with the exceptional presence of ecosystems, gardens and plants of different species and seasonality, telling the story of a company that has made creativity and experimentation its strength.

An incredible garden for Paola Lenti

The fulcrum of the project is an extraordinary presence of greenery that reflects the company’s values of research and ethical responsibility.

Entrusted to the multi-disciplinary team of architects, scientists and plant researchers of the Pnat (Project Nature) studio in Florence, coordinated by Professor Stefano Mancuso, the 4,000 square metre complex hosts different habitats, guaranteeing an environment where the distinction between artificial and natural fades and where nature and built space intersect until they merge.

As in a living organism, the Paola Lenti Milano space is made up of areas that are well integrated to perform different functions: showrooms, lounges, offices, gardens, greenhouses, a gallery, an exhibition space dedicated to artistic expressions with a contemporary language and, in the near future, even a bistro and a small hôtel de charme.

The designers, by exploiting the sequentiality of the scenarios offered by the present architecture, have been able to ensure the presence of different habitats from which a surprising narrative originates in itself, even more so when contextualised within a building that also has a commercial function.

The integration within a single architecture of different ecosystems creates a narrative pathway that accompanies the visitor through natural environments that follow one another through the spaces, seducing him or her with a unique and ever-changing multisensory and cognitive experience.

A goal and a new starting point, Paola Lenti Milano aims to be a place of inspiration and contamination between design, art and architecture, which is part of a project with an international scope of expansion and qualification of distribution spaces.
